Tomorrow I begin the journey of a lifetime as the youngest varsity head coach in New York State History. From the moment I took this job, I wanted one thing to be clear. I will do whatever it takes to take care of these kids and help them grow as human beings, not just basketball players. This will never be about me. It is about the program, the kids, and the Newfield community.

Shoutout to the people that have supported me throughout this process. Not everyone will support you, especially when you don’t fit the typical coach “narrative.” I am grateful for all of it.

Special shoutout to my best friends, my family, and my mentors. That is where the belief comes from.

Thank you to the Newfield community and our AD Hank Neubert for this opportunity.

Tough loss tonight against a good Lakeland Hornets team, 73-66. The Bears were led by Conner Griffin, who had 30. Lucas Cabiati had 14 in the first half before exiting with a knee injury and Christian Freeman stepped up in the second half scoring 11.
