March break has come to an end! Here’s a recap of everything we did! We LOL’d during the migration movie, became certified in CPR & First Aid, and had a wellness day participating in yoga and badminton. We had a blast making new friends & eating good food. 🍿⛑️🧘🏻🏸

Last week at Bill Hogarth we collaborated and worked as a team through STEM activities 🧪 We created invisible messages with baking soda, turmeric, and water! Then had a competition to see which team could build the strongest bridge with only news paper and tape 🌉

Today, we recognize Lailat Al Barar-ah. Many Muslims pray for forgiveness and ask for God’s guidance. Some Muslims fast during the daytime, and in a number of places the night is marked with firework displays.This poster was created by a Connex student at Bill Hogarth SS.

Lantern Festival is a holiday celebrated in China and other Asian countries on the 15th day of the first month of the lunar calendar. The Lantern Festival promotes reconciliation, peace, and forgiveness. These posters were submitted by Connex students at Bill Hogarth SS.

Connex is putting on March Break events! Come on out for a free 3 day program filled with friends, food, & fun! To register you must be a YRDSB student, in grades 9-12, and a newcomer to Canada. Lunch will be included everyday and presto cards are available for transportation.
