The world is unraveling, and as it does, the way of Jesus will become more beautiful and compelling. Let’s model humility, integrity, and love, and open arms of mercy and grace to those looking for hope and meaning in the chaos.
Don't forget...
The Armor of God isn't a onesy. You've got to choose to put on every single piece if you're going to be prepared for battle today!
(Eph. 6:10-20)
Put away the crucifix! Let your soul wear the cross, not your body. Hang not up the image of Christ on the wall, hang it upon the walls of your heart, there let his image be stored.
Corporate worship is designed to give you such a huge rest in the grace of God that you no longer resist the conviction, admission and confession of sin.
We can lay in bed with a soundtrack of fear and worry playing in our head, or we can drift off to sleep listening to music that will remind our souls how near, how faithful, and how good our God is.
Worship lifts our thoughts to a place where worry can no longer reach us.
Absolutley struck to the heart today reading the list of the Apostles Jesus chose. We know almost nothing about most of them. Its possible to be chosen by Jesus, build redemtpive history, and be unknown to the world. Recognition in heaven breaks the need for recognition on earth.
Don’t waste life constantly reacting, constantly defending yourself and trying to talk people into a different view of you. People are overwrought & need targets for their stress & anger & a cover for their fear. Have compassion. Live your vapor-short life faithfully before God.
Don’t stop trusting the Lord just because you couldn’t trust people. He is altogether different, altogether holy, gracious, compassionate, merciful & good. He keeps his word. Keeps you. Place your faith in Christ alone. He will get you through. Weep, yes, but knowing joy cometh.
Driving home last night from EXIT, this song was on! I sang loud believing and thankful that God knows: #godonlyknowsandthatisallthatmatters

God’s commitment to new mercies every morning, for what we will face that day, is a sure sign that he knows how much we are in constant need of his help and care.
