Our research published @CfYoungLives today warns that funding for children's centres and family hubs is threadbare and precarious.
We estimate that £577m is being spent on children's centres and family hubs, less than a quarter of what was spent under Sure Start. (1/3)
This generation is more connected than ever, but also more isolated.
We’re changing that by rebuilding youth services so that every young person has a trusted adult and a place where they belong.

Today is a proud day for us. Young Futures hubs were a policy we developed through our Commission on Young Lives in 2021 to keep young teenagers safe and support them to thrive. It is brilliant to see this policy coming to fruition in the Youth Strategy.

With one in three children now living in poverty - the child poverty strategy could have not come soon enough for families. Lifting half a million children out of poverty by 2030, it includes welcome steps forward like the end of the punitive two child limit. Our response ⬇️
At @CfYoungLives we want to understand more about young people affected by the online subculture #looksmaxxing - and how it shapes their wellbeing and identity.
If you work with young people or know someone who does, please share our call for evidence ⬇️⬇️⬇️
“The Greater Manchester way will be an ambitious way, it will be an inclusive way, and we’ll back young people all the way.”
Great to hear from @andyburnham, and from so many educators, community organisations, and young people at our inclusion roadshow event with @mission44.
Today we honour Jack and Paul Sykes, two young lives lost 11 years ago to domestic abuse.
Their mother, Claire Throssell, made a promise to her boys to change the law and protect other children. Today, that promise is fulfilled.
The Government has repealed the presumption of parental involvement, ending the legal assumption that abusive parents should have contact with their children.
Yesterday’s announcement of @MoJGovUK plans to repeal presumption of parental contact in the family courts is a huge step forward for children’s safety.
It makes clear that children’s wellbeing should be the foremost priority.

Our new State of the Nation report is out today, exposing the scale and nature of childhood vulnerability in 2025.
The report finds a growing number of children are facing serious challenges, with mounting pressures on the systems meant to support them.

Young Futures - a "Sure Start for Teenagers" model of support - has huge potential to deliver transformative change.

What did the Spending Review offer vulnerable children?
Our Head of Policy @ConnieMuttock analyses last week’s statement and argues children’s social care was one of the biggest beneficiaries.
