‘Midnight X-Men’ #4 by Jonathan Hickman and Matteo Buffagni
Two sets of letters go out. All sides are summoned. Two threats are made by both man and mutant. The one-eyed ronin finds a clue that will unravel long-laid plans. And a half-healed wound is hidden by shadow.

@ladolcevolk Yeah the show asks you to hand wave away certain character actions while being critical of others and it causes a weird disconnect. The final scene with John and Guy sticks out to me because it just doesn’t feel earned
‘FAST FOREVER’ reportedly has no director or finished script despite Vin Diesel previously claiming the film had the “best script” he’s read in decades.
Louis Leterrier is reportedly no longer attached to direct.

Lanterns is a story about a man coming to see that fear isn't failure, and any attempt to excise it diminishes him, submits him to others' wills, and prevents him from self-actualizing. It's not a story about how a guy gets a magic ring that lets him shoot lasers at bad guys.
@ladolcevolk All I can think about is why can’t we just see that. Projects like The Batman can skip over stuff because Batman is so ingrained in pop culture it’s fine but Lanterns is trying to build something different on a foundation that is out there but we don’t know what it looks like
@ladolcevolk This adaptation feels at odds with itself. It wants to take the GL mythos in a new direction but also teases actual GL stuff that is out there but we just can’t see it. Like I didn’t need Hal possessed by parallax but they keep mentioning Oa, guardians and Mogo and…..
The inclusion of Carol Ferris in Lanterns is honestly a bit strange. She shows up for Hal’s funeral and is never mentioned again. The Halogram never even asks about her when he probably should. Honestly feels like her scenes were added late in development
Overall a solid show that leaves me with more questions of how they’re gonna handle the larger GL mythos. Like I’m fine with the finale just wrapping up the Rushville plotline but I think it could’ve done a better job with the GLC stuff. Makes the universe feel too small
@ladolcevolk Probably one of the most best examples of a show where the biggest enemy is the budget. You can tell it wants to be more ambitious and it does somewhat rationalize its small scope but feels like it’s missing something. Wish it had the resources to indulge itself
@ladolcevolk He’s probably one of my favorite writers for Reed and Doom. After reading his F4 and avengers stuff you can really see how similar and different the two are. Reed letting go of trying to “solve everything” while Victor couldn’t
The Ultimate Clone Saga would make for a rly cool movie. The clone saga as a whole has been neglected by the LA adaptations and so it would be cool to finally see it. Especially since Sony is very cagey about reusing characters and plot lines they’ve already done in pre MCU films
We could’ve had something special. TLJ had its flaws but it was the most thematically rich of the sequels and it’s a shame the reaction scared Lucasfilm into not taking as many risks and taking the wrong lessons from the film
@ladolcevolk They probably will have a “legacy” character from Luke’s era as a mentor character. Could use Lando but something tells me they’ll probably just introduce someone new to avoid any potential baggage. Mara could be a decent pick
#GodzillaMinusZero first reactions are calling the sequel "jaw-dropping," an "overwhelming achievement" and a “glorious continuation of the first film.”
"Toho should win another Oscar for this film. Should be nominated for best picture."
