United says passengers who use speakers and refuse to wear headphones could be removed from flights and even face a lifetime ban.The airline says travelers who don't have headphones can request a free pair from flight attendants.
Billy Corgan says rock didn’t just fade, it was pushed out of mainstream culture. Speaking with Conrad Flynn on The Magnificent Others Podcast, he recalled a late‑’90s shift where MTV “suddenly decided rock was out” even though the genre was still huge.
Corgan said he “saw the gravity shift” as rap took over and standards changed overnight. Today, he points to the irony: rock sells massive tickets worldwide, yet barely appears in mainstream media. For him, the industry “purposely dialed down the ability of rock stars to have a voice.”

@pulpmx I didn’t even know any of that was a thing. I don’t follow any of it tbh. Was just offering my experience, which I know is just one experience, and (to your point) 2012/16 was a lifetime ago. No one politicized it (that I was aware of) when I went.
