@lorenc_dan@john_cogs I’ll send this to the PM who is coordinating supply chain security across GitLab in case you’re not in touch already
The current direction is described here: https://t.co/2yzwVs9oiA
@that_mc@SFMTA_Muni Thanks for posting about how much commendations matter—it can be hard to know what actually filters through a big system.
Your posts prompted me to file one for a kind and attentive @KingCountyMetro operator. My kids were so excited to ride and he made them feel right at home.
@CircuitSwan Tell me/the world how it goes! I think about it every so often but haven’t gone through. My existing paper notebook work feels better than typing for idea generation, but translating to the computer is always a little annoying.
@connorgilbert I mostly use it for taking notes on books and papers. I also use it as a virtual whiteboard.
Broadly, I use it when the artifact can remain handwriting. I'm buying an eink Android tablet next because the Nebo app is just too darn good at digitization of text, tables and math.
@nextdoorsv This also ignores the level of monitoring Stanford does on this exact point (net trips into and out of campus at commute hours were routinely tracked when I was there), and the amount of money they commit to doling out as a condition of developing the campus
@NativeSantaCruz When I last came over the hill, the site was tagged with snarky comments on the public notice sign and the sidewalk. I have to admit I laughed at loud at the “community space” aka a mostly empty parking lot with a couple trees scattered around it.
@CircuitSwan@ActiveState I wonder the exact point where paying all the facility, shipping, and storage fees overcomes the benefit of saving the swag for next time. Feel like it’s probably “ship this box to a convention center exactly once” unless you have really top-tier swag.
@CaltrainAlerts Is there usually a station PA announcement or anything when single-tracking ends? A couple folks and I just missed the 3:49pm since it was back on the southbound side and it takes so long to get over the tracks at MIL
@alexstamos Don’t forget—if you fail the anti-fraud check during registration, there is no way to recover. Then you must print and sign a paper form in front of a bank/CU employee or notary and mail it in, after which the stated SLO is 8 weeks for account unlock. (Faster recently though.)
@CircuitSwan From NA ‘19 I remember jeans and t-shirt being the most common, with nicer/collared shirts not uncommon. Lots of vendor polos in the expo hall. Will DM you a crowd shot from a security workshop for reference
@johncutlefish GitLab product development groups are defined in—
• a YAML file in a repo (https://t.co/jERvI2j6OH)
• which gets published to a public handbook page (https://t.co/Eyi6OeECNC)
For other departments, the roster and how to work with them is typically listed on a handbook page.
did you know that the Bell telephone system had custom made cameras and film just for taking photos of mechanical counters?
a friend sent me a roll of the film and sent me down a rabbit hole of telephone history
Spotify somehow mixed me and my kids together and came up with this surprisingly groovy take on the Mr. Roger’s theme song. Kids did not recognize or appreciate it though; oh well. https://t.co/6Mh9c2b23i
