Congratulations to Ad Astra Fellow @UCDIrishStudies @UCDScoilGLCB Dr Connor McCabe on receiving @dfatirl Communicating Europe Initiative funding!
His ‘Pobal na nAE istigh: Pobal na #Gaeilge agus an tAontas Eorpach’ project will bring Irish-language practitioners and members of the public together to discuss #EU language policy and practice with regards to Irish.
2024 is a significant year for the EU, with the 20th anniversary of the Day of Welcomes in May, and European Parliamentary elections in June. @dfatirl Communicating Europe Initiative projects will contribute to the ongoing debate on Ireland’s place in, and the future of, the EU.

Comhgháirdeas don Dr Connor McCabe, Comhalta Ad Astra @UCDIrishStudies @UCDScoilGLCB, as ucht mhaoiniú dá thionscadal 'Pobal na nAE istigh: Pobal na #Gaeilge agus an tAontas Eorpach' a fháil ón Communicating Europe Initiative de chuid @dfatirl.
Tabharfaidh an tionscadal cleachtóirí Ghaeilge agus baill an phobail mhóir le chéile chun polasaí agus cleachtadh teanga de chuid an AE i leith na Gaeilge a phlé.
Is bliain thábhachtach don #AE í 2024, agus comóradh 20 bliana ó Lá na bhFáiltithe i Mí na Bealtaine agus toghcháin Pharlaimint na hEorpa i Mí an Mheithimh. Cuirfidh tionscadail de chuid an Communicating Europe Initiative @dfatirl le díospóireacht reatha faoi áit na hÉireann san #AE, agus a thodhchaí siúd.
