@Retha_Skye because then how would one draw the line between when a teacher is being fair or using the D-merrit system to pick on a child

@Retha_Skye surely there must be some sort of a guideline in which the D-merrit system is conducted even if it's up to the schools discretion?

@Retha_Skye to me the D-merrit system doesn't seem like its effective, I don't even think 6 year olds understand what it even means

@Retha_Skye Thanks for the info, umm not that I have an issue with the system per se. But I just felt some type of way in which the teacher is using it to correct misbehaviour.

@Retha_Skye It just seems as if there's no other forms of discipline that is being followed say to correct a child who seems to talk a lot in class.
