Catholics burnt out of their houses in 1969, ethnic minorities burnt out in 2026. Shame on any #Catholic or #Republican in #Ireland who gives any kind of support or excuse to these bigots. We need to know our history and stand together against racism and oppression in #Belfast.

“Irish blood, Scouse heart, we are Liverpool.”
The bond between Liverpool and Ireland is a deep historical legacy. Liverpool’s connection with Ireland dates back to the Great Irish Famine of the 1840s. Hundreds of thousands of people fleeing Ireland sought refuge in Liverpool, the nearest major port. The city’s population was quickly shaped by Irish migrants. Today, a large part of Liverpool’s population traces its roots to those families.
