I know Vermont is small and we fall under the radar in the national news, but over the last 24 hours @SKrowinski and the House of Representatives passed some incredible legislation. Here is a (biased) thread of the work:

I’m excited to announce the release of State of the House, a podcast hosted by me that takes you behind the scenes of the legislature with candid conversations with lawmakers and community members. Check out the first episode on public safety with Rep. LaLonde here or on Spotify!
Good news - we did that!
Across the state we are already seeing the success of investing 100’s of millions of dollars coupled with regulatory reform bringing new housing online for Vermonters.
Vermont Speaker @SKrowinski has joined the @AmericanIrishSL. Speaker Krowinski is pictured with fellow AISLC members Rep. Heather Chase, Rep. @ilikemikevt, Rep. Mollie Burke, & Rep. @conorowencasey.
Welcome to the AISLC Speaker Krowinski!

“There’s as yet scant evidence that changes to zoning policy, even sweeping ones, are on their own leading to major growth in overall housing supply, let alone low-cost housing.” #vtpoli

It’s MATCHDAY in Vermont! ✨
The @opencup makes its long-awaited debut in the Green Mountain State tonight as we take on @LexSporting in the First Round at Virtue Field. 🏔️🏆
My heart is heavy for the victims, their families, and their friends as they go through this terrible experience. The possibility that this violence may be a hate-driven attack is horrifying. https://t.co/h4pmh76bWk 1/2
To steal VCF jargon: it’s more ‘impactful’ to donate to lower-income communities no matter what’s ‘local.’
Funneling donations to Central Vermont’s mini-Woodstock is to reproduce municipal/regional inequities that make Montpelier so exclusive, Barre so divested.
@GeoffBattista I really wanted to have a convo about how we have been coordinating resources with our neighboring towns, but I think I’m good. Back to scrubbing our “widget” stores!
@GeoffBattista Nah. Woodstock struggled to get a pipe to get their water connected. Montpelier and Barre have been communicating throughout. “Othering” during a disaster is weird. Can’t speak for what people raising money will use it for, but all communities are trying to survive at this point
We are slowly beginning to recover from the catastrophic flooding of the past week. We will rebuild our communities step by step, here are just some of the resources to help us do so.
SUPPLIES NEEDED 🚨
At today’s match, we’ll follow the lead of @KeshaRam collecting supplies for Vermont families, towns, & small businesses in need after the flooding. Please bring the following items if you can spare. Find the van at the front of Virtue Field.
Solidarity! 💚
