Walker Duehr’s extension felt inevitable after Samuel Fagemo left.

The #MBMoose needed to keep scoring in-house, and Duehr gives them exactly that.

Re-signing Isaac Poulter feels like more than just depth.

The #NHLJets keep another Manitoba-born goaltender in the system, and with possible questions around the #MBMoose crease, this could open the door for a much bigger role next season.

Nikolaj Ehlers just did in one season what he spent 10 years chasing in Winnipeg.

That should not make the Jets uncomfortable because he won.

It should make them uncomfortable because the questions surrounding him disappeared the moment he left.

I don’t think people realize just how big this is.

I grew up, alongside many others past or present, watching Hockey Night in Canada.

I looked forward to my weekends because of this broadcast and watching other teams play hockey.

Unfortunate end to a 74-year run.

Here are the details for the two-year extension RW Walker Duehr and the #NHLJets agreed to on Monday.

Year 1:

$850,000 in NHL, $425,000 in AHL.

Year 2:

$900,000 in NHL, $425,000 in AHL, but it has a guarantee of $450,000.

So it’s an NHL AAV of $875,000.
