Eddie: talking about “working class people” in the back of his chauffeur driven Bentley.
This is why the country is fucked.
We give political airtime to charlatans, liars and thieves.
THE QUESTION NOBODY WANTS TO ANSWER
Something curious is happening in Westminster.
Keir Starmer lists achievements that critics said were impossible.
The economy stabilising.
Waiting lists falling.
Migration coming down.
Britain rebuilding relationships abroad.
Yet the conversation is not about whether those achievements matter.
It is about who should inherit them.
That should give us pause.
Because there are two very different arguments.
One says Starmer has failed.
The other says Burnham won a by-election.
Those are not the same thing.
One is a verdict on government.
The other is an opportunity spotted by ambitious people.
And perhaps the greatest irony of all is this:
The louder the talk of a "calm", "dignified" and "consensual" handover becomes, the less it sounds like unity and the more it sounds like power.
Politics is full of people who want the crown.
Britain needs people willing to carry the burden.
Keir Starmer inherited a country that was broken.
He rebuilt the party.
He won the mandate.
Now he is doing the difficult work of rebuilding the nation.
That is not a reason to replace him.
It is a reason to let him finish the job.

Modern Warfare 2019 should’ve ended the COD annual release cycle.
They could’ve overhauled the bad parts of this MP and supported it alongside Warzone for years.
Would’ve given Treyarch enough time for a full-blown Black Ops reboot too. Activision fumbled🤦♂️
ok german car industry hear me out
reboot ALL iconic 1990s cars fully electric
sell nostalgia to millenials who all have money now
remove all expensive components, sell them for <$30k
go into debt if needed and sell them at a loss
The UK has now had successive defence secretaries who understand the gravity of the situation.
3% is a minimum. 5% should be the target.
It's time to scrap the triple lock pension and unparalize the economy from a generation of boomers who had it easy.
Single market return too
Different salaries should only affect how luxurious your life is, not your food quality or ability to afford rent. If you work 40 hours at any job, your income should be enough to live in the town you work in. Thinking otherwise is an abysmal indicator of your humanity.
Just to point out that all the human induced climate change deniers raging at the colour red have forgotten what the weather maps looked like in August 1990 (left) at just 27C vs over 30C in May 2026.
Just occurred to me this is the first time in my lifetime I can remember a billionaire funding a valuable public works project. Andrew Carnegie funded like 2000 libraries alone lol
‘You have done a better job than any cabinet minister of telling us the story of Keir Starmer’s successes.’
As Wes Streeting resigns, Caller Martin reminds @TomSwarbrick1 of what the PM has delivered.
Starmer and Reeves are not kidding when they say this political uncertainty causes economic damage. The only “reset” being achieved at the moment is higher borrowing costs. Result? We’re all worse off. So deeply depressing.
This talk of a leadership election is mad. There are 2 wars going on, the gilt markets remain high & incredibly sensitive, people's #1 concern is still prices/rents/bills, then the boats - last weeks elections didn't top expectations for either the Greens or Reform either. Chill.
