I was privileged to meet our AZ Governor Hobbs @GovernorHobbs today. A first for me in my 79 years. She visited our rural county party headquarters. #FourMoreYears
My sister and I voted for James and Gina. She had previously voted only in presidential elections, and last time she voted for Trump. I've been talking to my very religious family about Talarcico, and they listened. So my whole family voted all blue!
A Democratic sweep in the midterms won’t magically fix everything overnight. But between Trump entering lame-duck territory and Democrats gaining the subpoena power to check his corruption, the fever will finally start to break. It’s a long road back, but this is where the turnaround begins.
Dana Bash w/Cook Political report's Erin Covey: They're not performing as well as they'd hoped because the environment is so bad. Republicans hoped to pick up at least a dozen seats with mid-decade redistricting. But those efforts may not pay off much at all.
Get those ballots in, folks. Don’t let the nonsense coming out of D.C. fool you. The mail is safe and secure as it’s ever been. Mail those ballots back today and let’s win this thing.
This is a five-alarm warning to every job and industry that relies on our sandy beaches and beautiful bluffs for its livelihood. Soon, you too could see your environment for sale to Big Oil, Elon Musk, and any other high bidder that buys its way into the White House ballroom.
For half a century, California and the federal government have cooperated to protect our coastline. Now, further proof that this administration wants to end that partnership.
This trumped-up evaluation is the latest evidence of what I and our delegation have been warning of: that Donald Trump’s NOAA is creating a pretext to take away California’s power to manage its own shores.
If these threats are seen through, an administration that has proven to be hell-bent on reopening California to dangerous offshore drilling and other environmental hazards would get the sole jurisdiction over our golden coast.
If you’re lifting tariffs because you think they’ll help Susan Collins get re-elected, then you’re acknowledging that they are hurting AMERICANS, not Canada.
We have gone from “DOJ tries hard not to influence election outcomes” to “DOJ will definitely try to influence election outcomes if the candidate of the President’s choosing doesn’t win.” A very dangerous place to be.
I am always against monkeying around with the Constitution, but if Trump does this and links it to policy areas, then it really is time to change or eliminate the pardon power, which was never supposed to be used as a blanket shield for preventing accountability
I was driving during my recent trip to see @SpeakerJohnson in Washington state. This is a pretty bad photo that I snapped from behind the wheel. But diesel was 7.29.
From a town between Seattle and Portland.
In 2024 there were 315k more registered Republicans than Dems. Indies and enough Republicans crossed over to vote for me in a tough year. This is not that year. Dems out registered Republicans, Indies are swinging for Dems, the youth and Latinos are voting Dem.
Fill out the ballot, sign it and send it. Time to win!
“It’s not only unlawful, but it’s not in the US interest to have Russian technology controlling the commercialization of Arctic gas in the North Slope,” ex-Polar LNG CEO who quit after discovering secret Russian funding tells @antontroian and @EricLiptonNYT https://t.co/zARMqvzeiR
"Everything we love is on the line" in the US election. I argue that President Trump has systematically undone the strategy that since the 19th century has made the US the world's leading country. He has eroded our sources of greatness.
So what's at stake isn't just affordability or data centers or the Iran war. It's America's future: https://t.co/rUZ3LYpjaR
UPDATE: The DOJ’s demand to set aside ballots in California is impossible to carry out and has no basis in federal law, Los Angeles County told a federal court last night.
Voting is already underway, the county said, and once a ballot leaves its envelope, California’s secret-ballot protections mean it can’t be traced back to a voter.
Southern Arizonan families are out $775 in fuel costs per household because of the Iran war, and Juan Ciscomani has rubber-stamped it every step of the way. This district needs a fighter, not a yes-man.
