My existing Railcard stopped showing up on the Android app. Now I can't download using a new code. Traveling on Friday. Will it be working?
Are MPs out of touch with their constituents?
*NEW* @ECIU_UK polling suggests maybe...
Just 19% of MPs think people in their constituency would support onshore wind in the local area
Reality is 77% people would support it.
@JohnRanford@G4EGK@MeeraVadher1@Jeremy_Hunt Maybe we should be looking at providing incentives for cars of all types to be smaller, lighter and safer for those on the outside of them. Some EVs are SUV size, so we need to nip that trend in the bud.
@bwebster135 Cap each airline's emissions compared to today's amounts, reducing 10% against this baseline every year. Watch them suddenly fund the cost of real carbon reductions themselves. Or be unable to fly anything in 10 years. Apply this to any airline passing through UK airspace.
@Life_Powered_ @DustinMulvaney The UK has 14GW of onshore wind and 11GW offshore wind generation. We are a union of small countries that could not fit 160 square miles per GW. Think again.

@Vanguard_Group holds over $300 BILLION in #FossilFuel stocks, making it the world’s second biggest investor in the #ClimateCrisis

In that case, no one should welcome quantitative tightening: it is a weapon being used by the Bank of England to harm the people of this country. Economics rarely comes much nastier or more deceitful than this.
@Bill_Sutherland How about "avoid making extinct". We seem to love discovering and describing species just long enough to wipe them out.
I know words matter, but does debating them really need to take up so much valuable brainpower when action (or inaction) is what is really need?
@CoppiceJT@dinnerwithndg Try chatting with Bethnal Green Ventures. They are really well connected in the tech for good space and seem happy to share their knowledge.
@gregory_hine@GeorgeMonbiot@NicolaCutcher Have another read of the thread and the linked story. This doesn't sound like scapegoating to me, when it says that less pollution comes from the water companies than farms. The water companies are responsible, but not exclusively. But given their profits...
