Ugh. The worst. A ‘no’ doesn’t mean keep pressuring her until she ‘gives you a chance’. Women are not a quest to conquer. ‘No’ is a complete sentence which doesn’t require a reason or justification as to why! #nomeansno ❌

This figure is another result from @Revolt_Assault@thestudentroom 2018 study with 4,500 respondents from 153 UK educational Institutions. 35% of females, 9% of males and 34% of non-binary people felt pressured into sexual activity.
Power protects power. All the brave survivors who came forward will never get justice and as usual, the perpetrators won’t be held accountable!

Great piece by @helenwilsonbeevers of @glamouruk. We need to end the ideal that men should always want sex. A man’s consent is just as important as a woman’s consent. No one should be made to feel guilty for not wanting to have sex - regardless of their gender. ⬅️ #loveisland

Seriously.
You can always change your mind.
Consent should be ongoing - you should continually check in with your partner(s) to ensure that they’re just as happy as you are about the sexual events unfolding.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”— Edmund Burke.
The burden of standing up to the patriarchy shouldn’t rest on the shoulders of the women impacted. We need MEN to be VOCAL and ACTIVE in this battle!

Don’t be a reason why a survivor can’t come forward. When a survivor comes forward with their truth - believe them! #rapeculture#Repost @students4consent
