Another birthday standing on a picket line supporting #FairPayForNursing with this great bunch from @RCN_NI.
Four years on, I cannot believe we’re here again. But, our members won’t let up until they’ve got pay parity.
Come on the nurses 💪💪 @theRCN

It just doesn’t add up.

Finally, as the son of a nurse, I know deep in my bones, nursing staff deserve so much more. While we didn’t achieve everything we set out to, I know there are great things still to come and I know I am desperate to be part of it #FairPayForNursing.
It’s been a week of mixed emotions for me, but I wanted to stop and reflect on what has been the most rewarding, thrilling, exhausting, and inspiring time in my professional career so far.
Supporting nursing staff to take strike action has been an absolute privilege.
The RCN could not have achieved what it did without the grit, determination, and teamwork shown by its staff. I feel very lucky to work in such a supportive and dedicated team with individuals who are hungry to do good work.
As the son of a nurse I saw first hand the difference nursing makes.
This is my mum. She is a very proud nurse, and she brought me and my brothers up to have the utmost respect for the profession. It’s no wonder I ended up working to support nurses ❤️
Happy #NursesDay 🎉
It’s not everyday you get to see a bustling picket line full of nurses blasting out a Whitney Houston classic.
A huge thank you to all @theRCN members @uclh 👏👏🏼👏🏾
I could not have been prouder of you today and I LOVED every single minute on the picket with you ❤️❤️

Another busy and fantastic day at @GSTTnhs picket. #RCNStrike
Who’s coming to to support us?
We know taking strike action is not easy and has a financial cost. But remember, eligible RCN members can claim £50 per day from the @theRCN's Strike Fund.
Take a look at our strike benefit webpage for more information on how to make a claim - https://t.co/aib2fkx5Ws #RCNStrike
What a why to spend your birthday 🎉 (it was actually yesterday 😊)
