@Travis92678433 @LaRoseForSenate @jasoncstephens Further to your point about it being paid for, the State only pays for even numbered years when State offices (Governor, etc) are up. Federal chips in as well with Congressional or Presidential. In odd years like 2023, those elections are local and are paid for by localities.

@Travis92678433 @LaRoseForSenate @jasoncstephens The problem with putting it in Nov is that we wanted to get ahead of the abortion amendment and raise the bar for its passage. That's about as honest an answer on that as you'll get. I'll also note that August Specials were removed for local issues not the State itself.
