@oneearopen@astros It’s a rubber match to determine if there will be a rubber match, much as last night was a rubber match to determine if today was a potential rubber match to get to another rubber match
@notnotdylm I don’t wanna be a “no politics in sports” guy but the way these people try to create political superiority out of their rooting interests is exhausting
@notnotdylm The larger Raleigh-Durham/Research Triangle area is over 2 million people so from that standpoint I don’t think it’s that weird, like you said especially for hockey
You’d have to be a sick person to take pleasure in the Spurs choking away multiple substantial leads and Wemby clunking shots in the clutch. And I am a sick person
Sure $30 million is a lot of money but it also seems insane that the total purse for probably the most famous North American race and one of the most famous races in the world is only $30 million
The Indy 500 purse numbers are out, and they are WAY up.
— Felix Rosenqvist got $4.34 million for winning (up from $3.8 million for winner last year)
— Total purse was $30.9 million (!), up from $20.2 million last year.
— AVERAGE payout per IndyCar Series driver was $936k!
