@MaestroAxiom @MihrThakar Crazy!

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@michaelkwambo They have to work out the business side of it. Which is possible.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

Wow

[Mike Kuria @ForensicsKuria]

Not necessarily. On my site, I had the structural engineer on retainer to do inspections at all key stages. This was some idiot who is supposedly a lecturer at JKUAT and Dedan Kimathi.

The imbecile sent his students to do the site checks. It is actually the contractor who flagged this and told me to be there the next time. I was there.

When he found that I had caught him, he started screeching at the site about "errors" and whatever. There were no errors. He demanded that he be hired fulltime to stay on site to check every single day for 300k. So I fired him. He then reported the site to the county with fake allegations. I got him later. Years later the building is in excellent condition.

Listen, this is a very corrupt and mediocre country. There is no magic by which Engineers have escaped the same problems in every other sector.

[Ricky Warutere🇰🇪 @ericwarutere]

It is not right to blame the architect and engineer of the collapsed building. Clients take drawings and do construction without the consultants' supervision. That is the problem. Unaambia mtu site inspection ni 25k anaona hio ni simiti kadhaa, they don't call you to inspect.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@MaestroAxiom @MihrThakar Asking for things to be done properly, punctuality and with attention to detail is considered too much by some.
Strange perspective!

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@MihrThakar Speaking food English is not elitism😅

[Okowa Nashon @OkowaNashon]

@WehliyeMohamed @ArchOtieno This was actually done by the National Building Inspectorate after the Huruma building collapse in 2013 and a damning report issued. It is just gathering dust….

[Edwin Sifuna @edwinsifuna]

We are praying for all those workers trapped in the collapsed building in Eastleigh. The Red Cross is saying they are in communication with them. We hope there will be silver lining to this otherwise sad story.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@_ruhara @MigaiAkech @AnganaKeith @drunkenlectures Good idea!

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

Understandable.
It always feels better to be the one in control of the two wheels than depending on someone else, especially when you get a boda who thinks he can outsmart everyone.

[Shiku🌼 @shikumungai_]

I've been using uber baridi everywhere nowadays and I think it's time to get a bike. Hii ndo project ya next year inshallah.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@kollonabiswa I thought so too.

[Fanaka Studios @FanakaStudios]

Save the dates

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@Ohta_Ryota This will be interesting to see. If access to and through the CBD was improved via good public transport, we would be having another conversation.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

Interesting approach.

[X Freeze @XFreeze]

Margaret Thatcher explained this perfectly back in 1983

The government doesn't have money of its own. Every time politicians promise to spend more, someone has to pay for it

And people somehow still think it's someone else's money

“There is no such thing as public money. There is only taxpayers’ money”

And sooner or later, that someone else they expect to pay is YOU

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@ArigiObiero @Okwaro_ Maybe the Refs Dinner.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@YesIamArchie Fiat UNO?

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

Times are tough indeed.

[Lynne Wachira @WachiraLynne]

The hottest business right now is the resale of the Stanchart Marathon race tickets at a higher price…

Some people will also be scammed!

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@shikumungai_ Oooh, okay.

[Constant Cap @ConstantCap]

@kollonabiswa @Code4Africa Great people!
Was with a few of them recently, had a good catch up.
