@The25thminus The point is that murder is so desensitized and fictionalized in current media landscape that it gets to be treated lightly, but rape is not, and it shouldn’t be. If you have to speedrun a sexual assault in order to rush your story, that speaks volumes on the writer.

@homeofdcu The story they want is for Hal to be old grumpy mentor as a one-off launching pad for John Stewart and Hal can die off or retire after this one series—so they shoot for Josh Broslin then settle for Kyle Chandler. Make sense for the show, has nothing to do with Hal in the comics.
