A man in Lawndale opened his property tax bill and found it had nearly doubled.

Almost $1,000 more for the same house. The same block. The same broken sidewalk.

Then he learned his tax dollars didn't even go to his neighborhood. They were diverted into a TIF district to fund projects he never voted for.

We need to cap property taxes at 1%. And end the TIF scam so tax dollars stay in our communities.
