A CNN investigation has found that while Jared Kushner acted as a key Middle East peace negotiator, his private equity firm held the largest stake in an Israeli company backing businesses tied to Israel's military campaign in Gaza, including its largest arms manufacturer. https://t.co/zPxwBqGzs0
I'm not criticizing Zohran for doing this because I understand he has to deal with a very toxic political reality. Politics is a different game.
But to me launching a "Strategy to Combat Antisemitism" in a time of the Gaza genocide is akin to a "Strategy to Combat Anti-Whiteness" at the height of South African apartheid. That's not even a fair analogy: Israel and its apologists do infinitely more to both fabricate and encourage anti-Semitism.
On a stage with the flag of Israel proudly displayed, at a forum hosted by the leading Jewish LA organizations, in front of 1000 Jewish Angelenos in the room and in a race to represent hundred of thousands of Jews, @nithyavraman says she supports the BDS movement and will do so as mayor.
No hesitation. No hedging.
Israeli Olympic triathlete Shachar Sagiv was not allowed to compete in Spain wearing Israel’s official uniform because it carried the Israeli flag and the word “ISRAEL.”
Read it again.
An Israeli athlete was permitted to compete, but only after the symbols of his own country were removed.
This is what relentless anti-Israel hostility now looks like when it reaches international sport: not criticism, not protest , the erasure of an Israeli athlete’s national identity.
No Israeli flag.
No “ISRAEL.”
And somehow this is being treated as normal.
It’s not .
@InnaVernikov Zionism is a racist and supremacist ideology which needs to be tackled with great force and abolished. It is modern day nazisn which does not belong in modern world.

The ICE agent who shot and killed Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Houston has been identified as Gregory Feathers, according to the Houston Tribune.
Feathers had reportedly retired from DHS but was rehired by ICE during Trump’s second term, two people with knowledge of his employment history told the newspaper. He was identified in a photograph by Salgado Araujo's brother Victor, who was in the front passenger seat at the time Lorenzo was killed, according to an unnamed official familiar with the investigation.
Salgado Araujo was a 52-year-old homebuilder and father of three, and was driving his crew to work when he was shot. DHS claimed he had attempted to weaponize his vehicle. His killing sparked protests across the country and growing demands from his family, community members and lawmakers for ICE to name the agent and allow for an independent investigation into the shooting.
