@BertaMassaro@thejackhopkins I'm Welsh and live on the Greek island of #Crete, my children and grandchildren still live in Wales (though my youngest daughter lives in London) and I worry for their future as America losing their democracy will have such a negative effect on democracies around the world.
@MTGrepp I think you should go back to school and learn to use the English language. Your tweet contains just two sentences, both of which are grammatically incorrect. You're embarrassment to your office.

BREAKING: Trump Junior testifies for the second time in New York Attorney General Letitia Jamesโ $250 million fraud trial against Donald Trump and his family business, tells a whopping lie that will surely backfire on him and his fatherโฆ
Under oath today, Trump Jr. declared that it was a โmistakeโ for Trump and his family to not have pursued any โnew dealsโ while Donald Trump was president, testifying, โIn retrospect, that was probably a mistake.โ
Trump Jr. continued, declaring that โeveryoneโ claimed that โwe were still doingโ deals, so it didn't really matter and we got no credit for it.โ
Unbelievably, only minutes later, Trump Junior contradicted himself, admitting under oath that he started working on โbigger picture dealsโ soon after his father was sworn in as president in 2017.
Tellingly, Donald Trump Junior made no mention of the various ways that, according to Forbes, Donald Trump and his family enriched themselves while Trump was President to the tune of a whopping $2.4 BILLION dollars, even including, according to Politico, the fact that, โstate-owned companies in China, Saudi Arabia and South Korea are built Trump resorts while Trump was President, a Chinese state-owned company was awarded a multimillion dollar contract to help develop a Trump golf course in Dubai amid a U.S.-China trade war,โ that โT-Mobile executives stayed at Trumpโs Washington hotel while seeking a green light from the federal government for a merger,โ and that โthe IRS commissioner, who refused to release Trumpโs tax returns to Congress, collects rent from a pair of Trump condos in Hawaii.โ
But thatโs just the tip of the icebergโฆ
According to Politico, โTrump promoted his properties dozens of times while in office, mentioning them in official remarks, everywhere from the United Nations to the Oval Office, and in tweets to his more than 60 million followers, with the frequency increasing each year heโs been president. He tweeted about Trump International Scotland, melding his businesses and his presidency in the message. โVery proud of perhaps the greatest golf course anywhere in the world. Also, furthers U.K. relationship!โ
Trump also tried to hold the 2020 G-7 world leadersโ summit at his financially struggling Trump National Doral Miami resort. But he reversed course after days of intense scrutiny from Democrats and Republicans, who complained he would be lining his pockets with both U.S. and foreign government money. Trump and his adult children frequently Trump resorts around the globe on vacation and on business trips, forcing the Secret Service and other federal agencies accompanying them to spend taxpayer money at Trump properties. The Secret Service spent more than $250,000 at Trump properties during a five-month period in 2017.โ
Then, Ivanka Trumpโs husband Jared Kushner inked a massive $2 billion dollar deal with Saudi Arabia just weeks after Trump left the White House in early 2023.

Robert De Niroโs full statement on Trump. Please read and let me know your thoughts:
Iโve spent a lot of time studying bad men.ย Iโve examined their characteristics, their mannerisms, the utter banality of their cruelty. Yet thereโs something different about Donald Trump. When I look at him, I donโt see a bad man. Truly.
I see an evil one.
Over the years, Iโve met gangsters here and there. This guy tries to be one, but he canโt quite pull it off. Thereโs such a thing as โhonor among thieves.โ Yes, even criminals usually have a sense of right and wrong.ย Whether they do the right thing or not is a different story โ but โ they have a moral code, however warped.
Donald Trump does not. Heโs a wannabe tough guy with no morals or ethics. No sense of right or wrong. No regard forย anyoneย but himself โ not the people he was supposed to lead and protect, not the people he does business with, not the people who follow him, blindly and loyally, not even the people who consider themselves his โfriends.โ He has contempt for all of them.
We New Yorkers got to know him over the years that he poisoned the atmosphere and littered our city with monuments to his ego.ย We knew first hand that this was someone who should never be considered for leadership.ย We tried to warn the world in 2016.
The repercussions of his turbulent presidency divided America and rattled New York City beyond imagination.ย Remember how we were jolted by crisis in early 2020, as a virus swept the world. We lived with Donald Trumpโsย bombastic behaviorย every day on the national stage, and we suffered as we saw our neighbors piling up inย body bags.
The man who was supposed to protect this country put it in peril, because of his recklessness and impulsiveness. It was like an abusive father ruling the family by fear and violent behavior.ย That was the consequence of New Yorkโs warning getting ignored. Next time, we know it will be worse.
Make no mistake: the twice-impeached, 4-time indicted Donald Trump is still a fool. But we canโt let our fellow Americans write him off like one. Evil thrives in the shadow of dismissive mockery, which is why we must take the danger of Donald Trump very seriously.
So today we issue another warning. From this place where Abraham Lincoln spoke โ right here in the beating heart of New York โ to the rest of America:
This is our last chance.
Democracy wonโt survive the return of a wannabe dictator.
And it wonโt overcome evil if we are divided.
So what do we do about it?ย I know Iโm preaching to the choir here.ย What weโre doing today is valuable, but we have to take today into tomorrow โ take it outside these walls. ย We have to reach out to the half of our country who have ignored the hazards of Trump and, for whatever reason, support elevating him back into the White House.ย Theyโre not stupid, and we must not condemn them for making a stupid choice.ย Our future doesnโt just depend on us. It depends on them.
Letโs reach out to Trumpโs followers with respect.ย Letโs not talk about โdemocracy.โย โDemocracyโ may be our holy grail, but to others it is just a word, a concept, and in their embrace of Trump, theyโve already turned their backs on it.ย Letโs talk about right and wrong.ย Letโs talk about humanity.ย Letโs talk about kindness.ย Security for our world.ย Safety for our families.ย Decency.ย Letโs welcome them back.ย We wonโt get them all, but we can get enough to end the nightmare of Trump, and fulfill the mission of this โStop Trump Summit.โ
There was something extraordinary about the moonlight tonight: it compelled me to venture up Borough High Street and along London Bridge, so that I might see it reflected on the Pool. As I stood, a clock on one of Wrenโs churches struck nine. Perfect, I thought. But before I could turn one of those magical moments that Iโll try to never forget unfurled โ as I spotted the bascules of Tower Bridge rising. In an instant I remembered what I had forgotten, confirmed by a familiar long, deep wail of sadness - the sort of sadness that could only be mustered by an elderly orphaned hand-built ship which knows it is the last of its kind and that once it is gone, there will be no more. Either side of the bridge many sat stewing grumpily in their own traffic but for me - and I suspect many hundreds more who also witnessed the mesmerising sight and sounds of the worldโs last ocean-going paddle steamer glide into London upon a river of silver and its decks full of folk bright-eyed with wonder โ time stopped and silence fell. Waverley had come back to town.
The entire land border to the west of Russia de facto has already been closed. The car passing ban has now been applied to all European countries bordering Russia, with the exception of Norway, but a similar decision is likely to be made about this country, too.
But in fact, this ban concerns a very small part of the Russian population, who travel abroad by private vehicles at all.
The thing here is not the car passing ban. Nor is it the expectation that those few Russians affected will come out into the streets. Just as it has long been clear that Russian oligarchs under sanctions can not and will not remove the Kremlin regime.
This is a slow, thorough lowering of the Iron Curtain to destroy the empire.
This is not a quick military defeat, but a complete depletion up to such a state that it will be impossible to restore Russia afterward, and it will disintegrate into separate constituent parts in any scenario. And not quickly, but in an evolutionary order. Russia is being brought to disintegration, and conditions are being created in advance, under which there will be nothing left to collect.
Russia, in turn, closes its borders and announces mobilizations. Sends its citizens to kill and die. Soon it will be impossible to escape from there.
After Prigozhin's failed mutiny, the West realized that there would be no quick revolution, so it is betting on degradation, slow self-destruction, and collapse. A slow boil.
Russia has made the same bet on dragging it out. It has no other way out and believes that it can win in this fight, has huge human (poisoned by propaganda) and natural resources. Russia can go for a ceasefire only temporarily, using it to buy time, build up a military-industrial complex and hoping for the weakening of the West. Russia thinks that the West will stop supporting Ukraine sooner or later, believes it has enough resources to last until then, and then hopes to win in Ukraine.
The West, like Russia, is playing a long war, gradually wearing Russia down. Ukrainians are an instrument of Russia's slow destruction.
Can Ukraine play this long game and does it want to? Time is the highest price for Ukraine. Ukraine pays it with the lives and blood of its Defenders. Ukraine pays with destroyed infrastructure and homes. The longer the situation drags on, the more Ukraine is depleted and it happens faster than with Russia. There are fewer of us. The longer the war lasts, the fewer refugees will return to Ukraine.
So even the most sincere wishes to freeze hostilities essentially play into Russia's hands and increase the existential threat to Ukraine.
If Ukraine is depleted by a prolonged war, it will cease to be a deterrent to Russia. Therefore, a strong Ukraine and a quick Ukrainian victory are the foundation for peace in Europe and worldwide. It would break Putin's plans completely.
The Tour of Britain race director blames Brexit and funding crisis amid criticism.
ย โItโs purely and simply Brexit.โ
โJust to give you an example,โ he added, โit took some teams that rode the world champs [in Glasgow] five hours to get their vehicles, technical teams through customs at Dover, and that was only three weeks ago. And they go, โHang on. You know what? Itโs not worth itโ
Brexit has created a costly and time-wasting mountain of border red tape. While everyone ranted about tariffs, the much larger problem of non-tariff barriers was almost wholly ignored. Brexit was won after the mostly hopelessly ignorant and misinformed debate that one could find outside a dictatorship. It was a total failure of democracy.

See, it's not really that hard, Ron. If you can't put politics aside in moments like this, you sure as hell aren't ready to be president.
For all the outrage manufacturing hypocritical Magaidiots out there with their โHawaii needs help and Brandon is on vacationโ bullshit:
A. letโs pretend for a minute that you actually give a shit about anyone elseโs pain and sufferingโฆOk, thatโs over.
B. President Biden issued a federal disaster declaration on THURSDAY and has sent whatever federal assistance is needed and then some to help the people of Hawaii with the recovery. And heโs monitoring the entire situation as we speak.
C. If you really, really wanna Fucking go there, may I remind you that your despotic dotard played red state/blue state politics, โif they didnโt vote for me Iโm not gonna help themโ when it came to the countryโs disaster response, he threw paper towels at hurricane survivors in Puerto Rico, posed for a thumbs up photo op with a newly orphaned baby after a mass shooting in Texas, blamed the state of CA for its wildfires, and of course while thousands of Americans were dying daily from a virus he said was a โhoaxโ even though he damn well knew it wasnโt, he was golfing. Like a lot. Refrigerator trucks were filling up with the bodies of our fellow citizens, and he was on the back nine.
So donโt. Just Fucking donโt even try to gaslight us. Joe Biden takes the occasional weekend nap on the beach, but still puts Americans in need FIRST.
Trump, when he wasnโt golfing, tried to deny blue states disaster aid cuz he was big mad at them and golfed through an entire fโng global pandemic.
So just Fucking donโt.
listen up, stupids:
Al Gore lost his election and fucked off and went home.
Bob Dole lost his election and fucked off and went home.
Mitt Romney lost his election and fucked off and went home.
Hillary Clinton lost her election and fucked off and went home.
Donald Trump lost his election and whined and plotted and begged and bullied and conspired with his flunkies and eventually sent a mob of armed morons to the Capitol to disrupt the certification so he could cling to power.
all because he's a big fucking baby.
and that's why your guy is in deep fucking shit right now.
