“How intoxicating to feel like God the Father and to hand out definitive testimonials of bad character and habits.”
~ Albert Camus, The Fall.

Reminder: Tolkien hated Disney.
He called them "hopelessly corrupted" and knew they'd ruin any story they touched.
Why? Tolkien's storytelling philosophy was profoundly different… (thread) 🧵
@Bull_Rush4570 @MrsCowboyBen @NickAugust_ She's not an alcoholic. She's a social drinker who quit drinking for good. She's pretty open about that if you follow her.
@LBofBromley my food waste hasn’t been collected for weeks. I have submitted it as a missed collection numerous times. It’s getting a bit ridiculous. Can someone get back to me on here & confirm what’s going on please?
Hey FYI @AmazonUK all my orders of soft items that have arrived these past few days have either been slashed open or have a little slit like this. Kinda like someone was checking to see what’s inside. I didn’t take a photo of the others, but this one arrived just now.
@HolgateMiss@marcuschown I am so sorry. For my mum it metastasised to her brain. She was 44. She ran out of morphine. My dad rushed out to get some. She died in front of my brother & sister. I was at school. My dad came home to find his wife dead. My siblings needed therapy. I never got to say goodbye.
@marcuschown My mum had a painful ending with cancer without a nurse present. My dad had rushed to get her morphine. She was 44 & died in front of her children. I was at school but my elder brother & sister needed therapy afterwards. So I dunno, there cases where it happens man.
@ReformedArgghh@Goodtweet_man@coldxman Coleman isn’t a progressive. He also saw his mother die young from cancer. I did too. I imagine if he had a terminal illness he would make use of this. I know I would. End of life suffering is cruel & if someone doesn’t want to go through that, then let them have that freedom.
@Goodtweet_man@coldxman I would if I had a terminal condition. Don’t forget, Coleman saw his mother die young from cancer. I did too. End of life suffering is actually inhumane. Palliative care doesn’t do much. Giving people the choice is the humane thing to do.
@greg_i_yam@AaronKheriatyMD@coldxman I think it’s probably more to do with the fact his mother died of cancer at a young age. Mine did too. I’ve seen end of life suffering on palliative care. I support this bill. I also value the individual freedom to choose what to do with your life.
@Kwin8675309@Funnyda01518502@Riley_Gaines_ Her most recent post has a caption stating that what she is doing isn’t normal. She posts very infrequently, which is likely because she needs to protect her safety. So yeah, that’s all from the account you shared to state the morality police don’t exist.

In this video she states that the morality police are everywhere and she hasn’t been out for a month.
🧵I come from a rural working class background one where I won’t inherit anything & that doesn’t bother me. My partner is a farmer, he works as a contractor. Working with family can be incredibly hard, his dad currently has dementia at only 62. He didn’t even know if he would
@MiRaebel It was 20 years ago 🫠 and I chucked the course notes out over a decade ago and now work in UX. I was mentioning it as something I remember. Cardiff Uni doesn't list their 3rd year modules anymore, but it seems like many other unis have it on the syllabus https://t.co/EWAnPY24Rr
@ThePosieParker@JamesKe33691032@jk_rowling Posie, that was embarrassing. I don’t know why you’re arguing with someone who actually supported you (or did, I don’t like being insulted) & trying to police who JK Rowling can talk to. It’s possible to have a nuanced view of the world. You’ve become exactly what you criticise.
