Some of that is true. The ending isn’t.

South Africa does use race in law now jobs, tenders, universities, sport. That’s policy, not a theory. Some politicians sing kill the Boer. Courts called it politics. A lot of people still hear a threat.

Farm attacks are real and often vicious. A couple of thousand people have been murdered on farms over thirty years. That is not the government running a White genocide. The country already kills tens of thousands a year, mostly Black.

Apartheid’s state violence against Black people was real. Today’s farm murders and race laws are also real. Using one to erase the other is just picking a team.

They’re renaming them because they won.

For decades the old government put Afrikaans names on towns, streets and airports while most Black South Africans weren’t even allowed to live in those places as equals. When power flipped, the new government started putting its own names on the same map. That’s not some grand mystery. That’s what happens when one group stops running the country and another starts.

It’s messy and often petty. It stings if those names are part of your family’s history. It also doesn’t keep the lights on or stop people getting murdered. Both sides have used public space to plant their flag. Pretending only one side ever did it is just picking a team. Dummy.
