Latin Catholic only refers to the rite. Roman Catholic, to anybody not bound to Rome, refers to those who are.

His goodness is wholly other to ours in the side that ours is not goodness at all without His grace.

It is not other to ours in the sense of describing different things. What is or isn’t good remains entirely derived from His nature.

"So you're saying" and "So you think" are exactly the same move. There is no space between them.

And to be clear, I don't think Newman was necessarily intentionally misrepresenting Peterson.

Similarly, I accept that you were not intentionally doing it to me, now that you've backed off that point.

I of course believe that Christians should neither promote nor celebrate porn. I will not frame that as agreeing with Mac, because I do not believe she is coming to her position through reason.

She, to me, is giving every appearance of post hoc justification for an emotional reaction, which is why her attempts at theological framing are very shallow and often misguided.

She is needlessly aggressive and totalizing in ways that betray a lack of prudence and discernment.

She needs to stop trying to be a "Christian internet girl" and focus on being just a good Christian and wife.

She isn't ready for this topic and should not be trying to lead on spiritual matters anyway.

Your post said nothing about porn. It was praising Mac's spiritual growth.

And you were doing so in response to her accusing Defiant Baptist of defending porn for pointing out what he saw as hypocrisy from her. Hardly a spiritually mature response from Mac there.

So that is what I objected to: the idea that Mac was particularly mature in her theology.

For you to then say "So you think Christians should watch porn?" (which is an accusation, by the way, not a real question akin to something along the lines of "Wait, surely you don't think Christians should be watching porn, right?") is the exact same thing Cathy Newman kept doing to Jordan Peterson in this viral interview.

Neither of us had mentioned porn, but rather than address any aspect of what I actually said, you turned around and pretended I was in favor of Christians consuming porn.

THAT IS BAD FAITH. Had you apologized at any point, I might have accepted it as simple error, but instead you have repeatedly doubled down on this accusation masquerading as a question, so I have no reason to take you at your word.
