Nyandarua Senator John Methu says he was approached after DCP's success in the Ol Kalou by-election and offered a registered party, substantial weekly financing, aspirants, materials, and a staged fight with President William Ruto's government to make him look like part of the opposition.

Methu says he rejected the offer and later told Ndindi Nyoro about it, who warned him that Ruto fears a united Mt Kenya and that they must not form separate parties because it would split their votes.

He was later shocked when Ndindi Nyoro claimed to have a party, because Nyoro had told him that another party was the creation of William Ruto.

🌻In 1997, Maurice Ogeta was a gym instructor at The Nairobi Club (Lilian Towers). Then more than ten "suspicious men in black suits" walked into the hotel asking to "see" Raila Odinga. No appointment. No introduction.
🌻Ogeta told Citizen TV, on Sunday, that he moved fast. He gave Raila his own track suit and a cap, then led him out through an emergency exit and straight through the hotel kitchen
🌻Raila calmly picked a fruit on the way and chewed it, while Ogeta, by his own account, was the more frightened of the two.
🌻Raila's driver waited outside in his car. Ogeta got him safely to Parliament using a taxi.
🌻Meanwhile, he sent the men in black suits to a room that does not exist: Room 1607, on the 16th floor.
🌻Ogeta believes he saved Raila from a potential assassination. Raila seems to have thought so too. He knew what had happened, and Ogeta went on to work for him.
