That’s what needs to happen here, which I believe it will. From all reporting accounts, Fernandes wants to join Utd.

I don't know what will happen with Mateus Fernandes, but we'll find out pretty soon. I've always felt he was the 'can't miss signing' of this summer like Mbeumo was. Even if it's because the fee has become way overpriced, it'd be disappointing to miss out on him.

If Manchester United do walk away, the due diligence on other players (in a deep CM market) better be ready to act upon, because if you're missing out on priority targets eventually you're giving yourself far less margin for error as you move down your list.

Next few/several days the pace will pick up, no doubt.
