1/ I have decided today to cut stamp duty.
Right now, there is no stamp duty on transactions below £125,000 (or £300,000 for first-time buyers). I am increasing the threshold to £500,000. #PlanForJobs
@JoshuaJPE You are right on the money there! This is a temporary stop gap to the impending jobs and unemployment crisis that's looming. Bank are already pulling 95 and 90% mortgages from the market
@Louis_Ashworth@Tim_Wallace@Telegraph So how will the stamp duty changes announced by Rishi Sunak affect you?
Here's how it breaks down 👇
The holiday will start now and run until March 31 2021, and would mean nine in 10 buyers no longer having to pay the duty https://t.co/VPPWjNWReg

@CarolLewis101 You are correct the SDLT cut is for all, so main residence = 0% up to £500k, additional property / buy to let would still have a 3% surcharge applied, but still lower than before 🙂
#sdlt#stampduty#stampdutyholiday The UK chancellor has temporarily cut SDLT in England and Northern Ireland for any main residential property up the value of £500k
