I think of @timlockridge every time I use the "block move" while revising--but not the person who wrote the article Tim had us read that taught me, a late-20s millennial at the time, that I could do something other than copy-and-paste.
Looking for research or policy recommendations related to college level course caps. I have the obvious @ncte position statements and some sources from #CompPile already, but hoping for things more recent and focused on #HigherEd
Intro to Rhetoric got started in the hall today because, after several days of asking for help to get into my room, I still don't have access to the door.
When I was a kid, my dad would tell me I didn't need to worry about the storms unless he was carrying our full-size collie to the basement. If I ever have kids, it'll be "don't worry about the hurricane unless mom is wrapping her wine glass collection."
Successfully defended my dissertation this morning, so I am PhDONE!! So thankful for my fabulous committee, chaired by @ElizabethWardle. I am grateful for the outstanding mentorship I've had at @MiamiOHEnglish & the @HCWEMiami. Excited to keep up the work on grad writing support!
Sitting in this empty, windowless classroom while my students go explore exhibits in other buildings to determine the exigence. Can't wait to see what they find!
My favorite thing about meeting @TravisCowan's friends is that they'll ask things like, "well, Caitlin, what exactly do you do?" And he'll respond "triangle things" or "well I thought she taught English but I come home and in pretty sure she's figuring out time travel."
