Last night I #dreamed I was trapped inside a raindrop
Plopped, plopped, the drops fell
I tried fighting gravity to avoid my destiny
But I fell faster
I heard my body hit the ground
I felt my bones cracked
The water rose
A hand grabbed me
I woke up

Last Night I #Dreamt
Last night I dreamt I was at the world cup
The roar of the fans echoed & vibrated
Everything looked so big
I was surrounded by legs
Then I felt a kick
I flew through the air
A pair of gloved hands tried to grab me, but it was too late
I heard: Goal!

Crown Jewel of the Antilles, listen to your children.
Hear their unified voices cry, "Grenadye Alaso!"
Their song echoes through the waters of Bassin-Bleu. Grenadye Alaso! Your soldiers have awakened.

Jean-Jacques Dessalines gave the charge.
Grenadye Alaso!
The African drums set the marching beat.
The blood of the Taíno warriors coursed through your veins.
Toussaint gave the battle cry:
Grenadye Alaso!
You came and stood fearless.
Anacaona's womb welcomed your rebirth.
Grenadye Alaso!
From the ashes you rose.
You slumbered no more.
You stepped forward and defined the goal.

Last Night I Dreamt
Last night I dreamed I almost died
I was on my bed
My eyes rolled back
They became motionless
I hyperventilated
My body was ready
I smelled death
My husband laid next to me
My children came running in
Last night I dreamt

I am writing
