Feeling more and more that the Blazers offseason is essentially going to be same as it ever was: a few tiny moves around the margins. They’re not getting Giannis, and most moves for vets feel like overpays or outright swindles.
Watching our @nyknicks go for it with the Garden packed with high rollers reminded me of this @nbcsnl TV Funhouse from 25 years ago. Things today are definitely betterish.
Catch a legendary Knick fan at the end, back when he was relegated to Lorne Michaels' seats. -RS

This is the kind of bullshit that pisses me off about national NBA media. Any team that isn't a glory team "doesn't count." Ridiculous, but that's how these jackasses see small markets.
During the third round of The Memorial tournament on Saturday, Jim Nantz honored CBS Sports colleague Bryce Adair, who passed away at 31 after sustaining injuries during a car accident on Wednesday while in Ohio working the event.
@Stan4Burks Well, then why don't they just look at what OKC and SA have and commit themselves to losing 50 or 60 games a year then? The point is to be competitive, and they've built over the last two years. Building a losing culture isn't going to do anything for them.
@dwightjaynes And that Game 6 was an unusual game in that series: The Bulls were so far down that they were essentially raising the white flag -- until those bench guys' hustle got them back into it and Jordan finished the job. But it wasn't as if Bobby Hanson was getting big minutes.
Happy Pride Month. If you're a gay man, please remember your power. People often think that gay men are innately fashionable, which means if you wear some stupid shit for long enough, straight people, including homophobes, will copy you and then you can laugh at them.
Stop. I disagree with Fentress about plenty of things, but he’s a damn good reporter and a strong writer. Far too much of what passes for debate on here turns into personal diatribe. And I worked in Chicago. He’d do just fine.
@Brady12Clark Fentress is one of the softest people and yet arrogant people that has ever come to cover sports in Oregon. He could never cut it in Chicago (his fanboy town). He thinks he is smarter than everybody. Must still believe in Helfrich too. The man doesn’t know how to say he’s wrong.
Miller: When Talarico goes in for a blood test when he gets a physical, blood doesn't come out. Soy milk comes out. This man has less testosterone than Jasmine Crockett. They would choose a person who looks like he doesn't belong in the senate but in a cabaret show.
@wjcarter I get the feeling the Letterman episode and the Springsteen performance are going to be what people remember when they think of Colbert’s ending. And, for my taste, most of Colbert’s final episodes felt seriously rushed (and I heard that they had to cut them way back)
