- Enactment of the Waqf Board Act and ensuring economic self-reliance for Muslims

- Measures to secure economic self-reliance for Sikhs and Christians

- Guarantee full and equal rights for Transgender individuals

- Increase of pensions for Persons with Disabilities as promised, and granting of them co-option member reservations

Congress has historically always remained a party of upper castes - even during IG era when her core voter base were Dalits.

Sardar Patel, in 1945, ensured that Dr. Ambedkar's SCF was squashed in the 1946 elections. For that he explicitly instructed Congress leaders to "take care to see that no one of the followers of Dr. Ambedkar succeeds."

Those leaders obeyed Patel's instructions by using brute force. Patel's special attention for a new party of marginalized tells a lot about him as well as of then Congress.

Only once did the Madhav Singh Solanki govt in Gujarat tried to break this pattern but a political novice Rajiv Gandhi didn't allow it to succeed.

About for the present, only the future will tell.
