For the March 2000 test screening, all of the engine voices were pitched up in attempt to make them sound younger.
We aren’t letting that happen again.
Parents really gotta learn to parent their kids because why the fuck are you letting them point their phone's torch at the cinema screen and letting them throw popcorn at people
This line is funny to me cause its still true despite the fact that the Fat Controller from this book and Toby the Tram Engine aren't the same character
@ChildrensTVArch Its incredible how little the suit has deteriorated over 30 years
He honestly looks like he could be used in a new show (not that he should)
The other day we rewatched my original copy of Spooks and Surprises from when I was a kid, bought brand new in January 1999. I was surprised to see how well it played - this is where my affinity for series 5 AND Boulder came from. Gotta find my original magic railroad next
R.I.P. Tom Kane.
While known for countless iconic roles, Kane also narrated the February 2000 Thomas and the Magic Railroad Toy Fair trailer.
Despite being a small role, he still knocked it out of the park.
If you've followed my Thomas fan work for long enough, you may recall I made about 30 or so original stories on Soundcloud, which have since been taken down due to cost of keeping them up there.
All these stories can be found titled as a series called TALES FROM THE RAILS under the @OnTrackThomas banner, which can be found on podcast platforms -
Spotify: https://t.co/9Aoo0czMaR
Apple: https://t.co/hmLTf8rhkf
Not only do these live here, but they've helped keep the Right On Track feed active along with regular episodes of @TimetoShineSTS
I intend to release these soon individually but thought the compilations would be fun.
People have asked if I intend to create more, the answer being not right now - going from making my own fan audios to having worked on the official Storytime Podcast (the initial inspiration for these stories) has fulfilled me in the time being.
Please let me know which ones are your favourites!
I personally love Fitter's Orders with Derek, my adaptation of @theburiedtruck's Duck and Fergus and Thomas and the Rail Tour. 🙂

I think fans need to accept that anything that isn’t 100% in following with the RWS is something Awdry would’ve hated. I think he’d be able to appreciate the quality and accuracy of some models and artwork, but beyond that. He’d view most of it as a bastardization of his legacy.
