@lukasapplefan itโs a known issue that the dataprotection workaround currently doesnโt function as intended in this build; weโre working on a fix
@lukasapplefan in simple terms, no-effaceable-storage is a property that can be added to installations of iOS 6 and later that essentially negates any keybag issues that plagued earlier versions of CoolBooter, such as incorrect wifi passwords on the secondary OS as well as bootloops
@lukasapplefan The dataprotection workaround is applied automatically upon installation. In regards to iOS 5 support: it is temporarily disabled as iOS 5 does not natively support no-effaceable-storage, and we are looking into how to implement it ourselves.
@InvoxiPlayGames udid should be the same across installs, you might have a mac address set in nvram that is only acknowledged on iOS 8 and below, try running โnvram -d wifiaddrโ, then reboot and see if the issue persists
@RealiMuseum it was detached the entire time you were in the main OS before booting? panicking isnโt exactly part of the process so i can at least assure you it wasnโt normal
@RealiMuseum in this case the likely issue is if you had a lightning cable attached before booting, you should either keep the cable attached when you boot or just reboot, then boot with it detached
@RealiMuseum it'd help if you mention the OS you installed, or any info whatsoever other than "it's broken". I do most testing on 5c. it worked fine for me for most OS's except 9.1.
@JeremyReyesC if you saved your blobs before you can downgrade using odysseus or similar tools, also many times cydia has your blobs so check there if needed. i can assist with the procedure if needed, though it's best to continue in DM for that
