They were arrested on Thursday, August 7, 2025 during a sting operation at Tulip Heaven, Chevron, Lekki, Lagos State, following credible intelligence on the activities of some individuals suspected to be involved in computer-related fraud.
Upon their arrest, items recovered from them: one Range Rover, three Mercedes‑Benz vehicles, two Lexus vehicles, one Toyota vehicle, 15 iPhones, two Android phones, one Nokia torch phone, one Mac desktop computer, two Apple laptops, two Dell laptops, two iPads, one ECOWAS passport and one yellow card.

The National Youth Corps member, Ushie Rita Uguamaye, also known as Raye, recently had an experience that highlights a troubling trend in our nation—one where voices of reason and truth are met with intimidation rather than dialogue and engagement.
Reports indicate that she has faced threats from NYSC officials simply for expressing her concerns about the current administration.
This pattern is not isolated. I, too, have been subjected to threats for daring to offer constructive suggestions and comments.
I now face daily intimidation, harassment, and name-calling simply for expressing solution-based views on government policies.
Such actions are antithetical to the principles of democracy. A government that silences its citizens is not democratic or one that is subject to accountability and good governance and is most often corrupt.
I urge the current administration to reflect deeply on its approach to dissent and recognize that constructive criticism is a cornerstone of democratic progress.
To all patriotic Nigerians: Our nation's future and development depend on our collective courage to speak out against misgovernance, injustice, and intimidation.
Do not let fear stifle your voice. Stand firm, support one another, and continue to advocate for Nigeria we all envision—a nation where freedom of speech is sacrosanct, and leadership is accountable to the people, especially in critical areas such as education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation.
A just and prosperous Nigeria should be one where people like Raye are encouraged to speak out about the challenges they face, while those in government take urgent action to address these issues.
A New Nigeria is POssible! -PO

2: You have a right to criticize within the system in a manner that is constructive and not destructive because you have signed an oath of allegiance or terms and conditions.
3: Read your letter of appointment again. The night is long.

EFCC Arrests Kano TikTok Influencer, Murja Kunya for Alleged Naira Mutilation
Operatives of the Kano Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission , EFCC, have arrested popular TikTok influencer, Murja Ibrahim Kunya, for allegedly abusing and mutilating the Naira.
Specifically, Kunya was arrested for allegedly spraying Naira notes for fun during her stay in a hotel room at Tahir Guest Palace in Kano. The arrest followed her diligent pursuit by EFCC operatives after she jumped an administrative bail granted her by the Commission over one month ago.
She was initially arrested in January 2025 for violating the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN, Act which prohibits the abuse and mutilation of the Naira. She was granted an administrative bail by the Commission pending her arraignment before the Federal High Court in Kano. However, when it was time for her court appearance, Kunya absconded, evading the legal processes
However, after weeks of intensive investigation and surveillance, EFCC operatives successfully re-arrested the TikTok Influencer on Sunday March 16, 2025. She was subsequently conveyed to the Kano Zonal Directorate of the Commission, where she is currently in custody awaiting her arraignment.
The EFCC reiterates its commitment to enforcing laws protecting the integrity of the Nigerian currency and warned against acts of abuse including spraying, stamping, or mutilating the currency during social events.
EFCC PRESS STATEMENT
We Will No Longer Tolerate Obstruction of Our Operations
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission wishes to warn members of the public that it is a criminal offence to obstruct officers of the Commission from carrying out their lawful duties.
Section 38(2)(a(b) of the EFCC Establishment Act makes it an offence to prevent officers of the Commission from carrying out their lawful duties. Culprits risk a jail term of not less than five years.
This warning becomes necessary against the background of the increasing tendency by persons and groups under investigation by the Commission to take the laws into their hands by recruiting thugs to obstruct lawful operations of the EFCC.
On several occasions, operatives of the Commission have had to exercise utmost restraint in the face of such provocation to avoid a breakdown of law and order. Regrettably, such disposition is being construed as a sign of weakness.
The Commission, therefore, warns that it will henceforth not tolerate any attempt by any person or organisation to obstruct its operation as such will be met with appropriate punitive actions.

“If you support PDP you are after my life.”
“How can you be abroad and be supporting APC in Nigeria.”
“You are supporting the old order. A new order is POssible. We will cancel you.”
New order paid money to political jobbers and shared money at election grounds. Their own gang members revealed these things to us.
“We no dey give shi shi” in the mud.
You voted LP top to bottom in your state. Now, the folks who told you to do that are telling you they will vote for the candidate of their own choice irrespective of party in their own state and you shouldn’t tell them what to do. They used your brain because it is empty.
A letter to our dear Super Eagles @NGSuperEagles…
SALUTE TO THE SUPER EAGLES
I salute the Super Eagles of Nigeria for their tenacious performance in the final of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire.
I commend the team, the coach, the crew, and the entire management team for their hard work, diligence, and sacrifice to reach this far in the tournament. It has been a journey marked by hurdles, which they consistently surpassed with steadily improving performances, culminating in their appearance in the finals.
I urge my fellow Nigerians to be of good cheer. We won a great victory in the hearts of Africa and the world through our grit, rigor, and determination on the field.
Let this event not dispirit us but unify us to work harder. We are a great nation, bound as one by our green-white-green banner, symbolizing resilience, joy, hope, duty, and untiring love.
To our cherished Nigerian youths showcasing their talents in communities across the country, playing football in their local grounds, you too can be our heroes tomorrow. Do not relent in your pursuit. My administration is committed to making dreams come true.
