@BGatesIsaPyscho Andy Burnham likely won because he can create immediate change VIA a leadership challenge. Andy himself said a lot of voters from many parties voted for him.
@JulesDProperty Get an Android, change the OS to an open source one. Grab a VPN VIA torrenting or use one that refuses to comply. Use double packet wrapping VPN options to hide ISP traffic.
You’re welcome.
Fuck you @10DowningStreet 👍🏻
@vexingvillain@zidrozine@PCMag You can’t punish Linux because it is open source. There is nothing to attach a fine to, that’s the point.
There’s no one company or organisation that owns it, it’s free and very well distributed so banning it is out of the question. You can even torrent Linux.
@dark_road_games@Blyaphocat@IntCyberDigest You could also try the AmnesiaVPN client. That will let you set up a custom VPN and it has additional stealth features preventing ISP’s tracking it as a VPN. For all they know it’s just regular web traffic.
I’ll provide links to both, but feel free to also look at other options.
@dark_road_games@Blyaphocat@IntCyberDigest Tutorials, videos, online resources, word of mouth. Teach one person and tell them to teach those around them. Before long you end up with a community that better understands technology.
Before, they didn’t have a motivation to learn these things. Now, they do.
@dark_road_games@Blyaphocat@IntCyberDigest Not true, Australia has a failure rate of over 60%.
Also, that is why we teach people how to do it. Nobody should have to compromise online privacy for an out of touch pension home of a government.
In my eyes, they can send the police. I’ll fight for what’s right.
@Keir_Starmer@eucopresident Hey Kier, you should look at a real world scenario of what happens when you try to push online identity where it is otherwise optionally anonymous, as well as what the real repercussion are of doing so.
Of course, feel free to be the first to test your Digital ID, I dare you.
@harrystabbings No workaround 😂 do us a favour Harry. Once this comes into effect, look out for a report that shows how many people avoided it. Also I’m screenshotting this as a receipt.
@linmeitalks All well and good until the government makes a law you don’t like, now you’re one of those “criminals”.
Peoples inability to think ahead is mind-boggling. We truly are living in a world of clankers.
@xx_smokeswag_xx@Dexerto Library’s get out of date very quickly. Online information is updated all the time, because it’s practically free and doesn’t require recalls to do so.
You’re not only wrong about it not being a vital resource, you’re stupid. And so is everyone else who doesn’t believe it is.
@CringleMat60614@SteveLovesAmmo Comparing an AI restriction to the majority of the internet restriction is at best a false equivalency.
All this ban is going to do is push people to VPN’s or the deep web, which is far less regulated and puts children at risk. The solution is educate parents on online safety.
@Nigel_Farage I said something similar back in January.
Unfortunately, Starmer isn’t actually interested in protecting children. He only cares about passing in a surveillance state for him and his cronies own political and financial benefit.
Authoritarianism disguised as altruism.
