Rt. Hon. Adewale Olumide Egbedun, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, joined Oyan Muslim faithful at Oyan Eid to celebrate and pray for the peaceful of Oyan, Odo-Otin Local Government, Osun State and Nigeria at large.
APPRECIATION MESSAGE
I sincerely appreciate party leaders, stakeholders, supporters and the good people of Ife North for the overwhelming show of love, solidarity and support at the affirmation gathering held at the Ipetumodu Town Hall.
Your support continues to strengthen our commitment to quality representation, grassroots development and selfless service to the people of Ife North Local Government.
From our empowerment programmes across the ten wards to educational interventions and community development projects, the growth and DEVELOPMENT OF IFE NORTH remain SACROSANCT and NON-NEGOTIABLE.
Thank you for standing with us as we continue to move Ife North forward through purposeful leadership and people-oriented representation.
I congratulate Muslim faithfuls in Osun State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir. As we celebrate, I urge our people to continue to uphold the values of peace, sacrifice, unity and compassion which define the season.
I also encourage Osun people to assess the visible impacts of our administration across critical sectors. Our government remains committed to delivering good governance, sustainable development and improved welfare for all residents of the state.
The #InspectorGeneralOfPolice of @PoliceNG@PSCNigeria should pay closer attention to the activities and operations of the Osun State Police Command, especially under the current Commissioner of Police, IBRAHIM GOTAN, before the Command further damages the image of, and public confidence in, our dear Nigeria Police Force.
Yesterday, we wrote three different letters to IBRAHIM GOTAN regarding the unwarranted detention of MR. SEMIU BARUWA, an Accord Party stalwart and some observed irregularities in their purported investigation but the Commissioner turned a blind eye to all the letters.
Not satisfied with detaining MR BARUWA for 48 hours, the Osun State Police Command proceeded to court today, not to arraign him, but to seek the Court’s nod with an ex parte application to keep him in their custody pending the conclusion of their purported investigation.
This is a case in which police were not able to present any petition written against MR BARUWA for the two days he was detained despite repeated demands by MR BARUWA and his lawyers.
Now see how the Court exposed Osun Police Command's shenanigans in its ruling.
We are not saying police should not investigate alleged crimes and suspects. Our position is that they should be professional, conscientious and always respect the law.
Osun Police Command has never been this terrible.
On the 24th of March, 2026, during the flag-off of Famia Road in Modakeke by Governor Ademola Adeleke, he promised that the Modakeke Federal Road from Urbanday Modakeke to Texaco Junction, Ife, a stretch of almost 5km, would be rehabilitated.
Today, that promise has become a reality as the road now wears a new look.
Thank you, Imole for bringing development to the people.
COURT REFUSAL TO DEREGISTER ACCORD FURTHER EXPOSES OSUN APC’S DESPERATION
….Osun APC now scrambling for another backdoor path to power after serial failures
The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) notes with profound concern the deepening political frustration, confusion, and psychological collapse currently ravaging the Osun APC following the court’s refusal to entertain the desperate plot to deregister the ACCORD Party ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.
The failed legal ambush once again confirms what the people of Osun already know, that every sinister strategy deployed by desperate power merchants within the Osun APC to forcefully hijack power through the backdoor has continued to crumble disgracefully.
Having woefully failed to earn the trust, confidence, and goodwill of the people through performance, vision, competence, or credible alternatives, the Osun APC has now become synonymous with political desperation, reckless propaganda, and anti-democratic manipulations aimed at destabilising the State.
From the unlawful invasion and occupation of local government secretariats to the destruction of campaign materials, unleashing of political thugs on innocent citizens, violent attacks across communities, and the tragic loss of innocent lives, Osun people have continued to witness the frightening desperation of a party already overwhelmed by rejection, panic, and the looming reality of electoral humiliation.
It is now crystal clear that the Osun APC no longer believes in democratic competition or issue-based engagement. Rather than market programmes, policies, or constructive ideas to the electorate, the party has chosen the dishonourable path of blackmail, falsehood, propaganda, violence and calculated political chaos.
The failed move against the ACCORD Party therefore represents yet another devastating psychological blow to an APC that has become increasingly terrified of facing Governor Ademola Adeleke in a free, fair, peaceful, and credible election.
What has become obvious is that after every disgraceful failure, the APC hurriedly searches for another dubious route to power. When propaganda collapsed, they embraced blackmail. When blackmail failed, they resorted to and violence. Now that legal manipulation has equally failed, they are clearly stranded and politically directionless.
No amount of desperation, violence, propaganda, judicial shopping, or political manipulation can subvert the democratic will of a people who have already made their decision.
Osun State belongs to the people , not to desperate politicians intoxicated by power and blinded by ambition.

PUBLIC ALERT: HARASSMENT AND UNJUST ARREST IN BARUWA STREET
Information reaching us indicates that some young boys who were peacefully playing football around Baruwa Street were allegedly arrested by officers from the State CID through the influence of one Sade Baruwa. Reports also state that Semiu Baruwa and his wife were equally arrested in connection with the incident.
This development has raised serious concerns among residents and youths in the community. Football and social activities among young people should not become an excuse for intimidation, harassment, or abuse of police powers.
We call on the relevant authorities and the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force to immediately investigate this matter and ensure justice is served. Security agencies are expected to protect citizens, not create fear within the community.
The public is hereby alerted to this incident, and human rights advocates, community leaders, and concerned citizens are urged to speak against any form of oppression or unlawful arrest.
Democracy and justice must prevail. Citizens deserve fair treatment, respect for their rights, and freedom from intimidation.
We call on the attention of the Nigeria Police authorities and human rights organizations to urgently investigate this alleged abuse of power and unlawful arrest of innocent youths in Baruwa Street.

While the APC spent 12 years making promises, Governor Ademola Adeleke, within just over three years, has committed over ₦41.3 billion to pensions, gratuities, healthcare support, and workers’ welfare affecting more than 2,222 beneficiaries across Osun State.
Retirees are no longer abandoned.
Pensions are being sustained.
Gratuities are being paid.
Healthcare support is reaching pensioners.
This is what responsible governance looks like.
The difference is clear.
The results are visible.
Governor Adeleke is delivering.

Under Ademola Adeleke, Osun’s IGR rose from ₦24.6bn to ₦54.7bn in just 2 years, while domestic debt dropped from ₦148bn to ₦80bn. Education ranking also moved from 33rd to 7th nationally.
The same APC team led by Gboyega Oyetola and his Finance Commissioner Bola Oyebamiji now want another chance after years of underperformance.
Osun can see the difference. No going back.

@Statisense, thanks for the scorecard breakdown 👏
Quick correction: DMO’s Q4 2025 report shows Osun’s domestic debt dropped to ₦80.28bn, and Osun’s official release cites DMO data with external debt at $75.14m as of Dec 2024, not $98.67m.
Please update the data for accuracy. The debt reduction story deserves the right numbers.

EXPOSED - IGP CREATES KILLER SQUAD TO DECAPITATE OSUN ACCORD LEADERS -OSUN GOVT
● SEEK PROTECTION FROM PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU, DIPLOMATIC COMMUNITY
OSOGBO - 18/05/2026 https://t.co/2WIV5s0Y28
The Osun state government and the leadership of Accord hereby raise alarm over a reliable report that the Inspector General of police has created and dispatched a special squad under CSP Moses Lahor for a decapitation operation against Accord leaders and top government officials ahead of the August 15 governorship elections.
We have an authentic report about the plot for the squad to land in Osun any moment from now and commence selective commando-like arrest of Accord officials, not for investigation and prosecution but likely summary execution.
The government and the party leadership also learnt reliably that the alleged killer squad have had series of special meetings with the APC gubernatorial candidate, Bola Oyebamiji during which he has given them all necessary logistics to carry out the planned gruesome agenda of liquidating all known Accord stalwarts in different parts of the State.
It was specifically gathered that the APC candidate has availed the killer squad two Toyota 18 seater passenger buses and one Sienna car for their smooth operations throughout the state.
What is worrisome is that the planned undercover operation is a secret scheme without the knowledge of the Osun State Commissioner of Police.
The head of the killer squad who is also a serving police officer is a former officer in charge of Anti Kidnapping in Osun State Command of Nigeria Police who was involved in the attempted murder of a chieftain of NURTW, Comrade Nurudeen Alowonle whom he shot in the abdomen.
He was then transferred out of Osun to Borno State as an operational punishment for the dastardly act of shooting a suspect in custody.
The report indicated that top APC leaders from Osun state influenced his eventual transfer to another police unit, the IRTsquad of Nigeria Police.
We hereby place an urgent appeal to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the International Community to take note of the looming planned mass arrest and killings of key figures of Accord Party in Osun state.
We need to equally let the IGP know that the peace loving people of Osun State will resist, through lawful means, the planned mayhem being orchestrated by the opposition APC and their candidate, AMBO, who on a daily basis is desperately planning all acts of mischief and malfeasance after glaringly being rejected by the people of Osun state even before the coming election.
We charge the IGP to toe the path of peace and harmony, so as not to allow his men (police) to be used to carry out the already known illegality in the interest of already sinking APC and its candidate, Mr Bola Oyebamiji in Osun state.
We want the public to know that the good people of Osun are aware and awake to all the hatchet jobs being planned by the embattled and rejected but desperate APC to win the coming August election in the state by all means, even though it is too late for them to come to terms with the glaring defeat awaiting them after the August 15,2026 election.
E Signed:

Yesterday, the Unofficial Aides to Governor Ademola Adeleke further strengthened grassroots engagement as the movement moved to Iwaraja, Ward 12 of Oriade Local Government, Osun State, for another impactful meeting with the people.
It was indeed a productive and inspiring outing led by the State representatives of the movement, the Coordinator, Hon. Olarewaju Abayomi Labanson, alongside the Organizing Secretary, Comrade Anthony Olanipekun Nakel.
During the engagement, discussions centered on the vision of the Unofficial Aides movement, the importance of grassroots participation in politics, and the need for active involvement beyond social media conversations. It was emphasized that real politics begins from the grassroots, with the people, and that every supporter has a vital role to play, especially on Election Day.
Special appreciation to the Oriade Coordinator, Comrade Mighty-Ray, @Olumide27699595, for the warm reception, excellent coordination, and steadfast commitment towards ensuring the grassroots remain solid and unshakable for the continued success of the IMOLE movement across Osun State.
