Gather the pieces that are left, let nothing be wasted. John 6:12

Jesus said this after he fed the five thousand. Wow- my mind was blown. He did a miracle. He fed 5000+ and after everyone was SATISFIED, he told the disciples to gather all the pieces that were left so that NOTHING be wasted. Jesus, who could do anything did not want to waste. And it made me think that even though I don’t like to waste things- I do. And even more, Jesus did a miracle and wanted nothing of that miracle to be wasted. I think about all Jesus has done in my life- sometimes I only looked at the good and recieved it, but what about what I didn’t think was good, or useful, or had no need for (all of these things considered the leftovers)- sometimes I wasted them because I did not gather up the pieces. Wow- gather up the pieces that are left, let nothing he wasted. Y’all- Jesus wants NOTHING to be wasted in our lives because it’s all for HIS GLORY! Think about everything each of us has been through just this past year- nothing should be wasted. He will use it all.

When I am in his presence and feel so full, I will gather all the pieces so that I waste nothing.
When life seems tough and he’s working- because he always is- I will gather whatever I could not use in that moment so that it will not be wasted.

Isn’t this amazing 🤯 🤩

Furthermore, verse 11 says :Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those WHO WERE SEATED as much as they wanted. They were sitting in his presence. Humble. Hungry hearts. They got as much as they wanted and needed. Sitting=surrender. When we surrender, he will give us as much as we want/need of him. Wow 🤩 ❤️
