What made Shreyas Iyer’s catch so special was not just the athleticism, but the awareness behind it.
He had to judge the speed of the ball, the height, where the boundary rope was, how close he was to stepping on it, and get his jump absolutely perfect.
Then, while still in the air, he caught the ball and released it to a teammate before landing, all the while knowing exactly where that fielder was positioned.
To process all of that in a split second takes unbelievable awareness, timing, fitness, and composure.
@ShreyasIyer15 got everything spot on. One of the best catches I’ve ever seen live!

@MananyadaVV@AtharvaSri22296@sachin_rt@RahulGandhi Arjun might have undergone some growth hormone treatment to increase height which can be helpful for his pace bowling. Ambani doesn't do pace bowling, so they don't need those treatment.

The Bondi Beach attack is Islamist terrorist violence targeting a peaceful Jewish gathering.
No ambiguity.
A cowardly and barbaric act of hatred against humanity.
An Open Letter to Lionel #Messi
Dear Leo,
#Kolkata is known for many things, but above all, this city breathes football.
Here, football is not a sport that begins at kick-off and ends at the final whistle. It is a pulse. A habit. A faith passed from one generation to the next. This is the city that has always lived between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan, where rivalries divide homes but football unites souls.
When people gather at stadiums, they cheer for their teams…but every cheer is larger than the match itself. Every chant, every tear, every hoarse throat has kept football alive in this city for decades. Even when trophies were scarce, even when glory felt distant, Kolkata never stopped believing.
In the narrow gullies of this city, in dusty grounds tucked between buildings, a little child dribbles a ball barefoot. He knows he may never play at the highest level. He knows he may never reach where you have reached. And yet, he wears your jersey. Not because he dreams of fame, but because you taught him how to dream. That is not passion. That is absolute surrender to an emotion.
On 18 December 2022, when you lifted the World Cup, Kolkata did not sleep. The city erupted into joy that night. People poured onto the streets wearing your jersey, waving flags, shouting your name into the sky - hoping, somehow, their voices would travel across oceans and reach you. That night, Leo, Kolkata celebrated as if one of its own had finally come home.
And yet, when you came to this city, you did not see any of that. Today, when you arrived, there was chaos. Confusion. Mismanagement. Faults of a few that thousands of fans ended up paying for. You left, and hearts broke quietly. The disappointment was not because you didn’t stay but because you couldn’t see us the way we truly are.
Now you are in #Hyderabad. And as we see the warmth, the order, the celebration there, the feeling grows heavier. Not out of envy but out of grief for what we missed. For what you missed.
Those who built walls between you and the people should be sidelined. But the love should not be unseen.
Leo, Kolkata is not perfect. But it is honest. It loves fiercely. It loves forever. This city does not ask for much - only a moment, a glance, a chance to show you what you mean to us. To let you see the streets that once ran wild for you, the children who still wear your name on their backs, the city that once shouted itself hoarse just for you.
Please come back.
Not for an event.
Not for an appearance.
But to feel the love…raw, imperfect, and real.
Come back, Leo.
Kolkata is waiting.
With hope, regret, and endless love,
Someone from the city that breathes football, yet sad tonight !
