When we go to Panchayat, they say it is PWD. When we go to PWD, they blame it is Panchayat work. What type of work culture here? Panchayat roads in #Bengaluru should be treated as #GBA road. @krishnabgowda sir, our residents have tweeted about this. But no response from ure end.
The reason Bengaluru's roads are in poor condition is not because contractors don't know how to build roads, but because the tendering and contract allocation process is mired in corruption and misgovernance.
50% of the contracts in the past have been awarded to one agency called KRIDL, which is a corrupt organization designed to siphon off money, and which currently is under investigation by ED.
For the other 50% of the projects, the contractor is pre-decided (relative of the politician)!
Competent & capable contractors who want to focus on quality work are threatened with delayed payments and kept out of the tendering process.
The result is predictable. Roads are built poorly, roads are dug up repeatedly, public money is spent & siphoned off, and citizens continue to suffer from potholes and flooding.
This is not an engineering problem. It is a governance problem.
Until there is transparency and accountability in the tendering process, Bengaluru will continue to spend thousands of crores without getting the infrastructure it deserves.
The Bengaluru Development Minister needs to ask questions to the Ministers & Politicians, including from his own party (and not the Officials), to get the right answers.
Good to hear this. The messaging and informing the public on what they are doing in improving the cybersecurity itself is reassuring. Appreciating the ethical hackers and the public for pointing out the issues and the acknowledgement is a welcome change.
Someone earning 60 LPA got laid off during oracle layoffs
Last year, he paid ₹15 lakh in taxes.
And paid over 1 crore in taxes in last 7 years.
- Now, he has no salary.
- He is going to lose his home as he can’t pay EMI
- His kids are going to kicked out of school
- He won’t have health insurance
When someone start earning, government try to extract every penny they can in the name of
- Stamp duty for home
- GST in everything including schools fee and books
- They even charge GST on health insurance, air purifier, water filter and 20 things as government failed to provide basic needs.
When that same person loses his job,
Government never show up to help.
If taxpayers contribute in good times,
shouldn’t government provide some protection in bad times too?
No matter which political parties you support, result is same.
I think it’s time we push our government to provision a separate policy for laid off employees.
It’s time for government to show some support for its tax payers.
Big on advertisements, zero on execution. Sales teams are clueless and not helping at all with availability or timelines.
Stop selling hype and start delivering cars. #RenaultIndia#DusterFail#CustomerExperience
@RenaultIndia your “Priority delivery for RPass holders” is nothing but a misleading gimmick. Customers are waiting, dealers have zero clarity, and vehicles aren’t even being billed yet. What exactly are we prioritizing here—false promises?
The so-called relaunch of the #Duster
Dear @RenaultIndia, booked #Duster immediately after launch but disappointed—no loyalty bonus for 10+ yr customers. Also no corporate bonus like the other brands, Loyal buyers deserve recognition, not same benefits as new customers. #Renault#CustomerExperience
Severance packages are currently taxed under the head, “profits in lieu of salary” as per the Income Tax Act, 1961. In effect, this results in employees being taxed at the very moment they lose their source of income—when financial vulnerability is at its peak. While existing provisions provide limited exemptions depending on how severance is structured, they are neither adequate nor responsive to the realities of sudden and large-scale layoffs.
In this context, this is not a situation for incremental relief—it calls for a decisive, one-time policy response. There is a compelling case for granting a complete, temporary tax exemption on severance packages for individuals affected by such layoffs. This would ensure that impacted families retain the full financial cushion intended to support them during a period of transition and uncertainty.
I urge the Hon’ble Union Finance Minister @nsitharaman to examine this issue with urgency and adopt a compassionate and pragmatic approach by providing total temporary relief, rather than a partial or enhanced exemption.
