Surprised to learn that Govt is considering diluting it’s stake in IDBI Bank to below 51%

This amounts to privatising the bank through backdoor & can put several jobs at risk

In 2003,then FM assured Rajya Sabha that Govt will not alter its shareholding w/o Parliamentary nod

During repeal of IDBI Act @INCIndia categorically lodged it's protest at every forum that this repeal, if carried, without considering the suggestions of parliamentary committee, will put IDBI at risk. But govt didn't care then and don't care now. #saveIDBI #saveIDBIbank
