@bernadiki_city@raducrisanx What? As a number 8? His midfield play is not complete enough. Good ball progression, but too much of a non factor in the final third + average physicality. Theres a reason why pep utilized him as an inverted fb where he could utilize his skills as an extra man in build up.
@MciMidfielder@raducrisanx Clearly a midfielder but his skillsets as a mid arent complete enough to make it at a big team. Good ball progresser, but too much of a non factor in the final third with his shooting and final ball, often being a passenger. Which is why pep utilized him mainly inverted rb.
@kwandsssssss Lol casuals still think city give up on players after 1 season. These glory hunters wouldnt have survived first season bernardo, ake, etc.
@ChingChibg19224 Done him dirty in what way? CFG has platformed him and allowed him to shine in la liga, raising his value, and if he gets loaned out again he will probably play at a high level again. If city keep him and not play him at all sure, but that hasnt happened yet.
@Jeanainsley@Bd_irB_ll Well because psg needs a good keeper and he is a young keeper with good potential, that clubs like juventus publicly say theyre interested in? Sure the fact that hes an Asian is a plus and a buffer if it doesnt work out, but lets not immediately resort to such shallow thinking.
@MSR33641818@Bd_irB_ll Well united is also a cesspit and at this point has a reputation of ruining many young players' career. Waiting until a better club for your future wants you is also a reasonable reason.
@OppaiPriv@theboywonder77@Bd_irB_ll@mikejfls Theres nothing to interpet. The other person made an opinion that he is the better keeper, assumingly from watching him, and all you replied was that safonov was a starter, and no other intellecfual argument to argue why he isnt. Say something stupid, thats what you get.
@kwandsssssss@Sashank__ Do you know what could also tell you if he had a bearing? You could also actually watch the games and see that he made crucial saves along the campaign, instead of stupidly comparing a different season with different circumstances.
@ladiieesman217@sepiacense@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 liking old films is like saying youre a culinary snob but dont like foreign food because of "preference". Its an acquired taste and its not always easy to learn to engage with it. A cinephile is someone that has a strong love for film beyond simple entertainment value, thats all.
@ladiieesman217@sepiacense@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 Sure. Ive gone to the movies all my life but 3 years ago i wouldnt be able to sit through some of my favorite films now. I dont wanna sound like an annoying snob, but films are an acquired taste too. The only point im trying to make is that claiming to be a cinephile but not-
@ladiieesman217@sepiacense@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 Im a casual music listener, so i couldnt tell you why beethoven and all the classics, i have never delved deep into that and idk why people fimd it better than modern catchy music. Film is very much the same way. Its an art form like paintings, music, etc.
@ladiieesman217@sepiacense@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 Well i disagree. Being able to engage in something different, and slow isnt a preference. You cant bundle old films into a preference. Theyre all vastly different. Its hard at first to engage to something slower and less engaging to what youre used to, it is for everyone.
@ladiieesman217@sepiacense@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 Its perfectly fine to not like older movies. But the discussion here is about being a cinephile. With all due respect, its like calling yourself a music enthusiast and calling beethoven outdated. No cinephile found it instantly easy to engage with old black and white films.
@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 I understand. What im saying is that not liking old movies isnt a preference at all. In letterboxd the human condition is #2 and 12 angry men #3. They are vastly different films and you cant bundle them into a preference. Engaging with things that you arent used too takes time.
@ladiieesman217@sepiacense@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 How do you mean by outdated? Only to name a few, but city lights, harakiri, 12 angry men, psycho, these films will never be "outdated". The popular ones and highly rated ones are so for a reason. You find it boring or unenjoyable because youre not used to it yet, which is ok.
@westonscreen@CyrilH44@cinemashawn3 Not liking a movie from a certain director is a preference, not being able to engage with older films, black and white filma isnt "preference", it means you havent delved deep enough. No modern cinephile found it instantly easy to get used to older films or black and white.
@sajidma17854069@reveaIism The difference is that city immediately dropped mendy and stopped paying his wages. Mendy literally waged a legal battle against city, whilst Arteta and Arsenal were treating partey like a hero
@kwandsssssss@Tarunraps Also wouldnt have won at anfield if it wasnt for him. You're really acting like a child with this agenda, grow up. League wasnt lost in only one moment.
