47 Christians murdered in Ethiopia overnight in a terrorist attack.
In Shirka, the Christian village was surrounded at night and exits blocked.
The terrorists opened fire in homes and killed everyone.
Since nobody else will talk about it, I will.
Very serious concerns over reported attack on Christians in which, as reported by @BBCBreaking, “more than 60 people have been killed in a series of attacks on Christians in Ethiopia's Oromia region, according to the country's Orthodox Church.”
In a statement posted on Facebook, our sister Ethiopian Orthodox Church said that “it had repeatedly raised concerns about insecurity with authorities at different levels of government, but that ‘so far there has been no solution’".
We pray propose for the departed, comfort for the bereaved, healing for the injured and traumatised, peace upon the region and the nation, and wisdom for those who lead.

ETHIOPIA ― UN Secretary-General António Guterres has a little refresher for Ethiopia’s self-proclaimed 7th Emperor, Abiy Ahmed: the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea is not a royal decree, and the Red Sea is not an imperial inheritance.
Perhaps someone should remind His Majesty that issuing grandiose rhetoric against Eritrea does not magically manufacture a coastline, and no amount of imperial ambition can rewrite international law.
The throne may be imaginary, but the Law of the Sea is very real.
#BREAKING: ⚓Landlocked Ethiopia’s Navy Hosts Four-Day Maritime Summit
ETHIOPIA ― A landlocked country with no coastline, no access to the sea, and apparently no shortage of imagination is hosting a four-day "regional" naval commanders’ forum in Addis Ababa.
Naval commanders from #Yemen, #Oman, #Djibouti, Somalia's self-governing regions of #Somaliland, and #Puntland have traveled to Addis Ababa to discuss maritime security with a navy whose biggest maritime operation so far might be navigating a couple of speed boats on Lake Tana.
Imagine being a naval commander, traveling to a landlocked capital, sitting through four days of discussions about the ocean, and then returning home without seeing a single wave.
When you can’t bring the navy to the sea, you bring the sea to your imagination.🫣

It’s not who you are, but what you do that matters most. This young Eritrean’s bravery in saving students from a horrific accident is a powerful example of humanity in action. May God bless him and his family. His courage reminds us to raise our children to put humanity first and help others when it matters most. May we all raise a generation that never turns away when another human life is at stake. 🇪🇷💪 #HumanityFirst
The Tragic Fall of @reda_getachew.
Watch this staggering 2021 Getachew Reda interview where he fiercely condemned Abiy Ahmed’s total siege, weaponized starvation, and aerial bombardments on innocent civilians.
How does the exact same voice that once unmasked these atrocities completely flip-flop to serve the very regime he accused of trying to make Tigrayans "perish"?
Principles traded for a cheap title. A stunning betrayal of the people of Tigray who paid the ultimate price while leaders sold out. History doesn't forget.

Training for Ministry of Information Staff
Capacity-building training was provided to 59 IT and Engineering staff members of the Ministry of Information, including 14 women, by China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation.
The two-week training program covered Digital Broadcasting Transmission Systems and Methods; Parameter Setting and Commissioning of Modulation, Encoding, Multiplexing, and Demodulation Equipment; Core Architecture and End-to-End Workflow Design of MAM Systems; as well as Studio Lighting and Sound Systems.
At the concluding event of the training today, 26 October, Mr. Yemane Gebremeskel, Minister of Information, expressed his deep gratitude to the Chinese Embassy, China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation, the Ministry of Information’s Human Resources Development, and the professors and technical experts who conducted the training. He said the training will significantly broaden the technical knowledge and perspectives of the Ministry’s engineers and technicians regarding new technological advances in the fields covered.
Minister Yemane further stated that the training program is an integral part of the Ministry’s comprehensive and ongoing project to fully digitalize radio and television broadcasting using advanced technologies.
Mr. Huang Tao, First Secretary at the Chinese Embassy in Eritrea, said the training was part of the cooperation programs between China and Eritrea across all sectors. He expressed his expectation that it will make a significant contribution to the daily work of the Ministry’s staff.
Commending the training provided by China Broadcasting International Economic and Technical Cooperation, Eng. Neguse Berhane, speaking on behalf of the trainees, called for similar training programs to be organized.
Certificates of participation were presented to the trainees at the event.

ETHIOPIA ― 🔔 The attacks keep recurring, yet senior Oromia officials face no accountability. Allegations of delayed security responses, orders not to fire on attackers, media silence, and alleged police harassment of people assisting with burials or sharing news demand urgent investigation.
If the government has nothing to hide, why the silence? Why suppress the news instead of pursuing the perpetrators? Serious questions about official complicity cannot simply be ignored.
Who is protecting the victims, and who is protecting those responsible?

@addisstandard This would have been funny as hell if it wasn't so pathetic!
Cosplay at this level can not be normal, something is seriously wrong with this #PP regime and the clowns that are leading it!
This groups delusion of grandeur will take the entire nation down.

Seriously, does Ethiopia still have a functioning government, or has the state simply abandoned its responsibilities?
Look at the country this regime supposedly governs:
The north remains engulfed in armed conflicts across multiple fronts in Tigray, Amhara, and Afar. In the east, deadly communal violence between Oromo and Somali communities has forced tens of thousands to flee toward neighboring Kenya. In Oromia, Orthodox Christians face targeted massacres. In Benishangul-Gumuz, ethnic violence claimed dozens of lives. In the Gurage Zone, deadly ethnic and territorial expansion conflicts with Oromo have left hundreds dead. Etc...
From one corner of the country to another, Ethiopians are being killed, displaced, and driven from their homes. Families are burying their loved ones while entire communities live in fear of what tomorrow might bring.
And where, exactly, is the government?
Where are the serious emergency responses, the efforts to restore security, the investigations into these killings, and the public briefings informing citizens about the unfolding crises?
Instead, Ethiopians are served the nation’s most “urgent” news: the Deputy Prime Minister playing football and Abiy Ahmed taking his morning stroll along freshly paved roads built for his personal convenience.
Imagine the priorities. The country is bleeding from multiple wounds, yet the Prime Minister apparently has time to play soccer and admire his pavement while citizens are running for their lives.
How much more suffering must Ethiopians endure before this regime is held accountable for its failures? How many more communities must be devastated before protecting human life becomes more important than maintaining the appearance of normality?
#Eritrea's creativity was on full display this #UNDay: bold ideas in the Innovation Corridor, waste reimagined through our Trashion Show, and young people showing what is possible. Innovation starts with real needs and grows when people have space to shape solutions.
More soon.
