Let us take a cue from countries that have had foreign troops deployed to them in the name of peacekeeping. Nigeria is not a terrorist state, and we expect our government to respond with resolve. Your leadership posture should be upright now more than ever.

Again, I do not want American soldiers on our soil. Let American soldiers remain in America; let America worry about America, and we will deal with our challenges decisively.

What this new dynamic with the United States shows is that the hate for President Tinubu has grown greater than the love for our country, and that is wrong.

We cannot cut off our nose to spite our face. Even if many of us disagree with Tinubu, his administration, his style of politics, or his policies, that disagreement must never push us to invite foreign powers or destroyers into our home.

I reject this narrative completely. I rebuke it, and I will strongly oppose anyone who supports such a disastrous idea.

Have we not learned from Afghanistan? Have we not seen Iran? Are we not witnessing the devastation in Gaza?

Nigeria must solve Nigeria’s problems. No foreign army or country will ever love this nation more than we do.
