तो इसलिए नहीं कि आप बड़े संस्कारी, नियम पालन करने वाले और अनुशासनप्रिय हैं। बल्कि इसलिए कि ऐसी बस्ती के पास पहुँचते ही आपकी जान हलक में आ जाती है।

पुलिस वालों से भी मुँहचावर करने में कभी पीछे ना रहने वाले आप किसी से बहस होने पर चार ��ोल टोपी वालों के जुटते ही वहाँ से रफूचक्कर होने के रास्ते तलाशने लगते हैं।

तो इसलिए नहीं कि आप बड़े सभ्य, लड़ाई झगड़ों से दूर रहने वाले, शांतिप्रिय व्यक्ति हैं। बल्कि इसलिए कि उन गोल टोपी और ऊँचे पैजामे वालों को देखते ही आपकी फट के फ्लावर हो जाती है।

अपने धर्म की हर छोटी बड़ी बात का मज़ाक होते देख भी आनंद उठाने वाले आप 'शांतिदूतों' के सामने जब सब धर्मों की अच्छाई का गुणगान करते हुए उसके द्वारा अपने मजहब की 'अच्छाइयों' को बताने पर हाँ में हाँ मिलाने लगते हैं।

तो इसलिए नहीं कि सच में आप धर्मों को लेकर संवेदनशील हैं। बल्कि इसलिए कि उसकी किसी गलत बात का विरोध करने के नाम पर भी आपके पसीने छूट जाते हैं।

किसी शोभायात्रा के समय अपनी कार या बाइक से हॉर्न बजा बजा कर रास्ता बनाने की कोशिश करते आप मुहर्रम के जुलूस में बाइक और गाड़ी चुपचाप किनारे खड़ी ��र जब सब सम्प्रदायों के सम्मान की बात का ढोल पीटते हैं।

तो इसलिए नहीं कि आप सच में बहुत विनयी प्रकृति के व्यक्ति हैं। बल्कि इसलिए कि मुहर्रम के जुलूस में छाती पीटते और सर पर ट्यूबलाइट्स फोड़ते खूनखच्चर लोगों को देख आपकी हवा टाइट हो गयी होती है।

विचार करियेगा...

ये सच्चाई है और हम सब आज डर में जीने के लिए मजबूर हैं...!

और अगर वो किसी से डरते हैं तो वो बस एक ही पार्टी है और एक ही व्यक्ति है।
