@PolitlcsUK When you desperately need A&E you go to the nearest hospital. Recent experience was a 30 hour wait for a bed. League tables don’t help make those types of choices.
@jiJonathon @MartinSLewis And what about community groups hiring their facilities? Increase in pitch hire for grassroots clubs now with very few alternative venues
@KirstieMAllsopp Private schools are now also likely to charge VAT to clubs and societies that aren’t charities for using pitches. Our grassroots girls football club (many between ages of 8-16) will now have to find other venues or pay(practically impossible to find a safe pitch for winter use)
@EnglandFootball@Lionesses Unfortunately we have just been told VAT will be added to our grassroots pitch hire via our private school lettings. We choose that venue so our players are in one safe environment. What do we do? Subs are already high as we don’t own our own revenue stream.
There needs to be a wide ranging review of Women’s Football management. So many opportunities for foundations and club charities to access funds from the FA to support women and girls football- does this encourage the women’s game or hinder those at the elite level? #HerGameToo
@SolihullMoors Maybe the women’s first team needs to be moved into the same company/ entity as the men’s first team. That way the charity can concentrate on providing their current good work without the additional workload of providing equal opportunities to their women players and coaches.
@jungrassroots Incredibly expensive - grassroots football will lose smaller clubs who cannot compete or afford the spaces. Communities need no strings attached facilities that they can access.
