I’m not sure what metrics MaxPreps uses for preseason rankings, but they have Carol City at #2 - we have them at #202 in Florida. 🤔

Nationally, they rank them above Grayson, Baylor, Allen, Carrollton, and Thompson 🤨

One of us is WAY off, guess we’ll find out

You're right about the portal killing any player-driven stats in preseason. Our preseason rankings are based largely on the previous season, while adding in room for each team to fluctuate from one season to the next. In other words, we know teams aren't the exact same year over year, and pick the line of best fit in multiple simulations

The first three weeks of the season are the most volatile. If they pick up a win in those weeks, their rating and predicted record will go way up!

Curtis is just below Chalmette. The problem with playing Texas teams, is that they historically don’t preform well in interstate play. North Shore is a tough customer though.
