today’s Ray Hadley Midday Show, the veteran tore into Treasurer Jim Chalmers for driving the housing market into crisis, and Anthony Albanese for sitting silent while it happens.
“Shortly after the May budget, I started talking about the complete incompetency of our federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers”Hadley said.
He was already on it in May, when Labor’s broken promise on negative gearing and the capital gains tax discount hit the market.
“They lied to us” he continued.
“The market’s reacting”
Sydney auction clearances plunged to 31 per cent on the talk alone, then the budget landed, prices fell, new home sales dropped and rents kept climbing.
Treasury had warned Chalmers the changes would push prices down, rents up and supply down.
He did it anyway.
Hadley calls him Jim “Gomer Pyle” Chalmers and says it is time he got his head out of the clouds.
“Unlike Robin Hood, who robbed the rich to help the poor, Mr Chalmers is robbing everyone”
Albanese’s job, on Hadley’s telling, has been to stay on the sideline.
The man who promised no changes is now talking about “the long game” while the market he helped break keeps sliding.
And we’ve still got 2 more long years of this train wreck in front of us.
🚨 $1 TRILLION IN DEBT - AND CLIMBING.
🚨 $119 million every single day just in interest.
That’s not “investment.”
That’s gross mismanagement - paid for by Australian taxpayers and loaded onto our kids.

This man heard Albanese’s speech and he’s absolutely fuming.
I think most of us are in the same boat. we’ve had more than enough and being labelled ‘divisive and dangerous’ was the straw that broke the camels back.
Fire the Liar! Take back our country! 🇦🇺
Australia is losing its economic edge. Without a stronger focus on productivity, competitiveness and sustainable economic growth, our long-term prosperity is at risk.
Trying to decide what to do with a failed lupin crop sow something to fatten lambs on but what to sow 🤔 won’t be sowing it for another 8 days or go for another crop to harvest 🤷♂️ any ideas
What’s happened to Australia?
Now you can’t even sell lettuce from your own backyard without copping a fine.
This government overreach is out of control, endless rules, endless regulations, zero common sense.
